Great food right on the beach. Peanuts on the table to snack on waiting for food. Throw the shells on the floor. If you like burgers onion rings and chilli cheese fries, this is your place.

Cheese curds, yes. So good and garlicy. Burger good, cheese frees on point. Ranch doing it's thing. This place can get very busy fast and parking is tough but food is great.

If you don’t mind eating on super sticky tables and garbage on the floor (no not peanut shells) go for it. Also, I made a comment to the people I was with and while our waitress was serving the table right next to us our food, she literally piped up and yelled at me. Totally unprofessional!! No plans for going back!!
Great lunch place with view of the beach. Sandwiches were very good, fries were a little bland, but good. We had teriyaki chicken and chicken philly, both good! Surfside is small area, but this is a great option!

I love that they bring peanuts to the table like Texas Roadhouse used to do. The atmosphere is beach. There is indoor and outdoor seating.This is mainly a burger and sandwich place. The are right on the beach, so you have a great view. The portions are huge. The burgers are good but messy.

So we LOVE the River City Cafe in Socastee. So while down in Surfside yesterday we thought we would give this one a try since we just wanted to have a few drinks while overlooking the water.Man were we disappointed. We took the elevator to the third floor. When we got up there, there was no one there to greet us at the hostess stand, so we made our way to the bar. It was not busy on this floor, only a few tables were seated. Not a soul at the bar...not even a bartender. We started to wonder if they were even doing bar service. We sat there and sat there and sat there for about 10 minutes before we asked a server if the bar was open. She responded yes and she'd be with us in a minute. In the meantime there was another server who was clearly either drunk or on drugs or both..Very loud and obnoxious, acting very strangely. It was quite uncomfortable to watch. We waited about another 10 minutes and the original waitress we asked came by, asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered two bloody mary's and she left again for about another 5-7 minutes before coming back to make our drinks. Once we got our drinks no one ever came back to check on us or ask us if we would like another drink.. Nothing. There were a total of 4 servers buzzing around the top floor and no one stopped.. We finally had to flag down the original server who made our drinks and ask for the check. That took probably another ten minutes.Based off this experience alone, we will not be back to this location.

Food tasted and felt like it had been under a heat lamp for to long. Fries were too salty for an 8 year old to eat, and they can eat anything. Sweet tea was watered down. We never seen the server after the food was delivered. The food is also so over priced and I don’t mind paying n for a good meal.

Tried River City for the first time. Great location on the beach. I had the Prime Short Rib Burger. It had a good taste but was a little greasy. Needed more seasoning. Fries were OK. My wife had the Mahi Sandwich which was average. If you are looking for a burger on the beach, they have a wide selection to choose from.
