The peanut buster parfait I had was excellent. Dave Jensen the owner knows how to set up these machines to give you rich and creamy ice cream. I believe it is the best I have ever had. He owns the store in Deadwood and Sturgis.

tried to use my Dairy Queen gift card given by my daughter on Father's Day and they said you can't use it at this location in Deadwood South Dakota. Very embarrassing and disappointing to say the least.

If you only went here to possibly have the chance to have the owner come to your table and really engage in a conversation with your overly inquisitive and talkative kids, it would be 100% worth it for that alone! Throw in the classic Good Old dairy Queen reliable meal and you've got yourself a winner! I love visiting businesses where you feel like you're at home, I felt like I was at home and dairy Queen in Deadwood today with my kids! Thank you so much for an extra special part of our visit to South Dakota! (Also, the charming sweet cute little girl behind the counter who was so patient was an excellent addition!)

Ok. I am taking a star off because the hours do r match the website and in my opinion, closing at 7pm is too early!We did go the next day and the food was good and service was fast but frustrated about the hours.

It's Sunday at 730pm. Everything says there're open but they are Not. Guess I'll spend my money elsewhere. Pay a decent wage and maybe employees will show up.

Love this Dairy Queen! It’s so unique with the motorcycle on display! The staff is so friendly even with a line out the door! The store is also very clean, one of the nicest Dairy Queen’s I’ve ever been to!! Very happy they’re still opened even with COVID! I’m excited to visit again soon!

Website says they close at 10...went there at 6:45, a woman said sorry we close at 7. Then a man screamed at us to get out of the way so they could drive a motorcycle into the building ?♀️. So rude.....and there's lots of places in Deadwood to get ice cream or a hot dog so we won't be back.
Cloesd. We wanted ice cream after playing mini golf. The website and Google maps said they were open but by the time we got there, the sign said closed for the season. Really disappointed that they didn't have anything on their site

By the looks of the insides through the windows and then talking to a couple of the local business people, it appears it to have closed permanently. I was not surprised as the service and the food never was very good.
