I stayed in September of 2022 ,the town of deadwood was dead! Off season but still.a cool.place ,went drinking at will bills bar ,just a short walk to bullock hotel, it's an old building with very cool architecture ,a very friendly staff ,nice bars inside ,and it's suppost to be haunted ,I didn't see any ghost but I can tell you I had the scariest dream ,woke up screaming! Lol overall I loved the hotel and would definitely stay againRooms: Basic old style rooms ,with a authentic feelNearby activities: Lots of bars and cool shops ,Noteworthy details: Historical district ,if you love western history

This is a fantastic historic hotel in the heart of Deadwood. I would not stay anywhere else in this town.Noteworthy details: The hotel runs a ghost tour of the premises on Friday & Saturday nights. Very entertaining and interesting.
We loved the surrounding history and the historic building. I do wish the areas not needing to be historic were updated.

We stayed here on our visit to Deadwood and it was an experience. The building is a living part of histoy. They have a lot of photos and articles up about Seth Bullock and his life which are interesting. The rooms are not your typical hotel rooms, remember they are in a very old building and they fit the building. There are no overhead lights in the rooms, only lamps. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. You get an actual key for your room just like the old days. They casino downstairs was worth spending some time in. I played blackjack for two hours on twenty dollars and had a handful of adult drinks while playing. The floor boss that was working the night we were there was great. He took time to talk to us about the history of the building, town and surrounding areas. He was knowledgeable, friendly and fun to talk to. If you are looking to stay in Deadwood and into history then you have to come to the Bullock.

The staff was so kind and friendly. The rooms were modern but they kept as much of the old charm as possible. The ghost tour is a must, whether you believe or not the information on the history of the hotel was amazing. Can't wait for our next trip.Walkability: Within walking distance of most activities.

A must place to be. See Ed for anything you need. He is outstanding. I can not say how much he helped us during our time there from places to see and restaurants to eat at and where to stay away from.

Do not let the price fool you, this hotel is fantastic. Room was very comfortable and clean. The history of the building made for a great atmosphere. The location can not be any closer to the action in Deadwood. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Parking is very close and required a parking pass. The food offered for breakfast was delicious.Rooms: They were clean, comfortable and larger than expected. The decorations definitely leaned into the history of the building which made the atmosphere fantastic.Walkability: You are literally in downtown Deadwood. Can't be any better of a location.
