I just enjed an amazing spinach, mushroom and tomato omelet. It was one of the best omelets I've had eating out for sure! Music was nice. Service was fast. And note that they allow well behaved dogs inside and on the patio! ??

Beautiful quaint coffee shop. Amazing service! When we got to the counter, the lady advised that she needed to step away to run a plate and she would be right back... that was amazing communication, in my opinion.. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a carmel latte that was so good and filling. Def recommend! This place is about 30 minutes away from mount Rushmore.

We were here at a not so busy time, but if it had been, it may have felt crowed with the seating as it is. Only one booth. There's a kind of bar, but it looks at a boring wall. They have an amazing selection of meat pies and tasty baked goods. They did not have a decaf coffee option. They have an intriguing herbal tea menu if you're into that.

How I adore their long black....this is why I come here. I thought I would have to go back to New Zealand for a long black, but its here in downtown Rapid City, South Dakota!I've enjoyed a few items from their menu and I look forward to enjoying more as time allows. Come see, smell and taste for yourself.Parking: Street parking may be hard to find, especially during their peak hours.Wheelchair accessibility: There may be some challenges, but many of the people here will assist you to hold a door open for you.

2nd time here thought it was just a missstep. It's not. They cater to the .1% if you ask for something you want they refuseHow dare I add a dolip of honey to a flat white. Well we can do a latte, I didn't ask for one I don't want a milked down espresso, I'd like a stronger flat white more espresso less milk. Tad of honey. It's off limits. Food was dry and cold not even heated the quiche , girl helping at front was nice but clueless. Changed my order to a water. Never did get it either. Go somewhere else .

I’ve been ordering freshly roasted whole beans from Essence of Coffee for my espresso machine for about a year now.I discovered them when I traveled back to RC and saw their segment on one of the local news channels.Their service is fast, they are affordable and their beans always taste great.
Loved this quaint lil restaurant on main Street across from the federal building. Its decor was nice & comfortable, Aussie inspired and so relaxing. Quite a yummy variety of lunch selections. I enjoyed it, I plan to go there again.

Great little coffee shop in downtown! Stopped in here before headed down to Mt. Rushmore and was not disappointed. They've got a great selection of all different types of coffee and styles of brew. They also have a pretty good selection of food. I ordered the Chorizo breakfast burrito. It was tasty and fresh. The staff is incredible and very helpful with menu items and suggestions. Please stop in here for some great coffee!
My husband and I visited the Essence of Coffee at the end of September. We both ordered coffee and it was very good! The staff were so friendly. The line was basically out the door, so you could tell it was a very well-loved shop! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! I highly recommend visiting Essence of Coffee!!

I had a pumpkin spice latte and bacon cheddar quiche. Excellent, quality food and service. I enjoy the atmosphere there as well. Met a friend and we stayed for about an hour and a half just chatting! They were out of their pumpkin spice muffins. I look forward to returning to have one!
