The best environment in town!! If you aren't spending at least one night a week here then you are missing out! It's a hidden gem! And at the restaurant inside, the black elk grille, they have the BIGGEST fried walleye you've ever seen plus some unique options like a German Flatbread with sauerkraut, bratwurst and horseradish that my partner just loved!! Come here for great company!

We booked a reception hall for my daughters wedding on New Years Eve. Met with the lady who handles this and was told we could come in the day before to decorate, which we were very relieved at because the next day was wedding day and very busy. She said they usually had poker on Saturdays but would cancel it for that day and usually had church there on Sunday morning but would just have them do an online service since there wasn’t a lot of turn out right after Christmas. She wrote it right across the top of her notes. We discussed how many bottles of champagne we would have, food, tables, etc….. Everyone showed up to decorate at 10am the day before like we were told we could do, and the poor bartender (she was great and tried hard to help) said they had poker coming in soon and called the lady that handled all this and asked if she could move poker upstairs because it wouldn’t be a problem, and was told no, that it was made clear to us that we could not decorate until noon on the wedding day, so I guess all 3 people who were at the original meeting did not hear her correctly. We asked if the tables would be all set up with table clothes and ready to go at noon the next day and she said it would take them 10 minutes. It did not take them ten minutes. We also got no champagne that was agreed upon. Nor so much as an apology for any of it. Just a heads up if you are booking an event, get all the details in writing signed by her because she will lie right to your face.

Great elks. RV Park was great and the cost was reasonable. We were at the bar and ordered food twice. Bartenders and wait staff were very friendly. Too bad on both nights, I counted over thirty times the same person, both nights, had such a filthy mouth. He sat practically in the same seat both nights. It’s a shame you Allow that. Had you had a cuss jar you could have made over $30.

We have been here twice since the new group -black elk grill- took over the diningroom. Both times my order has been wrong. She took my drink to refill and was gone quite a while and then apologized for forgetting it. She also forgot my salad. Last time we were there I asked for sweet potato fries and got regular. I also asked for water and never received that. While the server was very nice, she seemed rattled and there were only 3 tables with 4 people each. The limited menu is a BIG disappointment for a bar/grill setting. No kids menu. The food was good.

This has got to be the nicest Elks Lodge I've ever visited. They have a wonderful 18 hole golf course. A nice restaurant. A decent place to park your RV with either full hookups or dry camping. The dry camping was $25. Full hookups for 10 or 15 more.

This review is for the Black Elk Restaurant only so do not apply it to the campground or golf course. This is either a new restaurant or under new management. As with other places I have seen, hard floor, hard wood tables, bare walls, sound really echos. They had a two person band on Friday night. Good band but would have been more appropriate for a dance hall, not a sit down restaurant. As soon as they started playing and singing it was hard to converse at our table due to the volume and echo. Planning on returning but not on a night that they have live entertainment due to the noise. The service was odd. We had two different people come to take drink orders then two different people come to take our main order. They wanted a credit card up front. Never had that happen any place else so what is with that? As we ate several people came to ask how the food was but none of them cleared dishes, the dishes only got cleared when we were all finished eating. They need to coordinate who does which tables, stop with the odd asking for a credit card in advance, stop asking so much as to how things are unless they are clearing dishes at the same time. The FOOD was excellent. They had two menus, one was like you would expect in a nice restaurant, the other was a burger menu where you could build your own burger just the way you want. Four meals at our table and everyone said was excellent. They even had malt vinegar for the fish and brought it with the meal, nice not having to ask. Very good drinks but you get a separate check for that. Maybe it is how they keep the books but it makes tipping kind of confusing. All in all a nice place and I think they will smooth out the points I made above as time goes along.

$40 for a RV spot is ridiculous. There's only electric and water. No dump. Sites are gravel. Provo charges $25 for WED and it's paved. Is this lodge out to turn a profit from the RV spots? What's the $40 going towards?

Nice people. Didn't try food, etc, just had a drink at the bar.
