We had a wonderful experience at the Diplomat. The ambience alone was worth the visit....The decor reminded me of the old style restaurans i grew up around. Italian themed and wonderfully decorated. The wait staff are old school, friendly and very attentive.The food was beyond our expectations, it was fresh, delicious and beautifully plated. I moved North from the Napa Valley area and I can honestly say the Diplomat is by far the best steak house we have dined in, anywhere!We will be back often.If you're in the area, it's a MUST

As always The Diplomat was a lovely experience. We went for Valentines Day and we're not disappointed. The steaks were done perfectly. The waiter was entertaining. The wine was excellent. It's the place we go to for special occasions.

First timer. Our hotel recommended we visit this place. So happy we did.Amazing place. I highly recommend it. I was in awh when entering, the simple touch from the vintage door coming into the restaurant. To the suited gentleman greeting us and taking our coats. You walk through this cascade of famous people to the velvet red booths. It gave such a relaxed, comforting, classic atmosphere.Our waiter was beyond helpful and so kind. He was very attentive. Especially when we have kids eating at such a higher end restaurant. They were very welcoming, and yes, it's definitely kid friendly. My oldest daughter mauled her steak. It was so delicious she said.Drinks to food. Our drinks were top-notch. Not many can make a tasty old fashion. My husband had nothing to say this time round, hahaha.We had calamari and Greek ribs to start. The lamb shank, the rack of lamb, and the salmon with cream, my daughter had a steak and kids' chicken fingers and fries. We all walked out happy and so full.Next visit. I will for sure save room for dessert.

Absolutely the best steakhouse in Regina. The table side Ceasar salad is worth it. Best wine list in the city. The pepper corn sauce is epic. Grant is the absolute best waiter west of the Mississippi.

This place is absolutely amazing. I truly think this is one of my favourite restaurants ever. From the kind and personal greetings from the second we walked in, the genuine and charming hosts, and our waiter Grant made us feel so very special. The dirty martini was the best I’ve ever had, the wine was fabulous and the table side homemade Caesar salad was to die for! All the food is fresh and delicious with very reasonable prices. The decor is the perfect combination of elegance and comfort. This is what I dream of when I think of going to a nice restaurant for dinner. Next time I’m in Regina, I’m most definitely coming back. Thank you to the owner John for everything.

The one thing I was let down by was our seating, we were practically in a hallway. It was NYE and i booked in advance so expected a better spot than beside the hall door in an over crowded and very loud room. We got bursts of cold air from the front door opening as well. Not a great first impression for me.
