Amazing food and experience!
Great sushi menu.
Good
Very big portions
Well worth it
I honestly wouldnt even give this a one star if it had the option to give it zero stars! The service sucked, their sign said half off sushi on sundays but because its mothers day they weren't offering half off. Makes no since to me since all the buisness being brought in today was because of us (mothers). Then after ordering our food we waiting about an hour for anything to be brought out, they then forgot part of one order and didnt brong another one out for 20 more minutes, in the mean time they served two other tables that came in well after we had ordered our food. When i asked to speak to a manager he acted annoyed and wasnt apologetic at all in fact his excuse was that they were busy. I shouldnt of had to wait over an hour for a simple hibachi chicken and rice. while other tables that were seated after us got all there food. This is ridiculous and we will not be coming back.
I go here for sushi all the time! The wait can be a little crazy sometimes but extremely understandable for the great food. The staff is always nice and they never disappoint! This place has the prettiest and tastiest sushi Ive tried in Cleveland. I highly recommend the las vegas roll and the shrimp lovers roll
Great food and great service at a great price 👍
waited over an hour only to find out my order was never put in. then waited another 40+ minutes as they were closing to get it. no one offered to comp anything for us.
worst birthday dinner ever.
It is unfortunate that they try to rip you off with the math of the tip:
Over two hours for our sushi (it was half off night so it was a shit show) they never did bring my kids meal. I’m. It clear on who our server even was. Terrible experience.
Good food and service

Great price for fabulous food!!!
Horribleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee staff member ruined whole dinner with rudeness .
Employee at register used the restroom same time as me and walked out without washing or sanitizing hands. Nasty. Confronted her and she smirked.
First time we have eaten at TakoYaki . We went there for dinner and to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The food was delicious!
A Health Hazard Disguised as a Restaurant!
Takoyakai was an absolute train wreck from start to finish, and I regret ever stepping foot inside. Our group of four came in expecting a decent Japanese dinner. What we got instead was overpriced garbage, the kind of food that makes you question your life choices.
The sushi was a joke—fish that tasted like it had been thawed and re-frozen multiple times, rice that was cold and clumped together like paste, and rolls that fell apart the moment you picked them up. The takoyaki was a mushy mess—undercooked on the inside, soggy outside, and completely flavorless. Nothing we ordered had any redeeming quality. We ended up leaving most of the food untouched, and that was probably the smartest thing we did all night.
Service was an insult. We sat for almost 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, and when they did, it was like they were doing us a favor. Our server barely spoke, got our order wrong, didn’t check in once, and looked annoyed every time we tried to ask for anything. Zero professionalism, zero hospitality.
On top of that, the atmosphere was unbearable. Giant overhead fans blasted so loud it felt like we were dining inside an airplane hangar. No exaggeration—we literally had to shout across the table just to hear each other. It completely killed any chance of conversation or enjoyment. It was miserable.
Then came the final blow: that night, my wife came down with severe food poisoning. Violent vomiting, fever, stomach cramps, the works. We had to rush her to urgent care. She didn’t eat anything else that day, and none of this started until after that meal, so we know exactly where it came from.
Takoyakai isn’t just a bad restaurant—it’s a health risk. The food is trash, the staff couldn’t care less, and the environment is hostile to basic human interaction. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this dump.
