A Memphis Favorite.
The food was great and so was our waiter!
Philly cheese sandwich my favorite
Uncomfortable booths. Huge portions of mediocre food.
HUEY'S IS MY SECOND HOME, EVERY HUEY I GO TO GIVE THE FAMILY GATHERING AMBIANCE! MY 21 YEARS IN MEMPHIS I NEVER HAD 1 BAG EXPERIENCE..
Excellent, Good Food, Fast Service, Great Location.
Huey's in G'tn is an ideal place to go if you're meeting friends or co-workers. Its dark interior and layout make it a bit intimate and fosters conversation. And like most pubs, it has a good selection of beer. A couple of shortcomings to note. By design, there's not a lot of room to maneuver. Tables and chairs are pushed tightly together to accommodate more customers. At times, I felt like I was sharing my seat with the person to my left, or my right, or behind me. And while they serve a decent variety of food, it's not a sophisticated menu. It's pub food after all. And I suppose it's worth mentioning that over the years, Huey's burger has been voted Best Burger in Town. But to me, it's always tasted like a typical pub burger, with the sandwich falling apart halfway through and getting soggy due to the tomato and sauce(s) included.
Food was good beverages even better
Can't write on the walls at this one.

Filthiest bathroom I've ever seen
The food is great and everyone is always friendly. It's a great place to grab a bite and watch a game.
Great burgers
Went here with a large group (about 20 people) during the work day, and they had us out on the patio. They didn't take reservations, but they were willing to accommodate us once we got there after calling ahead. Our waitor was very kind and efficient. And the food was always really good!
Burger and drink was a little on the expensive side for lunch, $18. Since we were a large group, 18% tips were automatically added to our checks.
Received a gift card for Christmas for $100, I live out of town so after every visit I write down how much is left on the card. Upon my 3rd visit I had $25 remaining on the card. Waitress ran the card and said there was unfortunately none remaining and kept the card.
So a few options:
1) The last waitress from the month prior emptied the card (I doubt this because she has been our waitress everytime with no issue).
2) The new waitress kept the card to use/take funds.
3) An issue with the card reader or improper usage of it made the waitress belive there was no value left on the card.
My mother in law gifts me a card every Christmas, and when I take my son to his monthly Le Bonhuer visit we eat at Huey's. I've been going to the Germantown Huey's for over 10 years but I will not be returning. I recommend no one uses their gift card option and warn others of the possibilty of fraud/mishandling of the gift card funds.
