If I could leave a negative review I would. The customer service was horrible. Girl at the counter didn't even acknowledge my existence, just stood at the register staring at the wall until I just started to order. I even said hello and smiled at her and she said nothing! She then asked us to give other customers their food when it came out!! By the time our food came out I already wanted to bail, the vibes were so off in this place. The food came out, my half chicken came smothered in bbq sauce and when I tried to dig in that's when I saw there was no meat on it!! My husbands pulled chicken sandwich had about a tablespoon on the worst looking meat you've ever seen. We just walked out. Left all our food uneaten. Didn't bother asking for our $30 back as we just wanted to get out of this twilight zone Buddy's BBQ. We go to the Buddys in Bristol VA all the time and it's great, maybe the one in Bristol is the only good one! Will NEVER go back here!!

I placed an online order. I was given a time the order would be ready, about 15-20 mins later. The order was not ready when I arrived at the time promised. The girl at the front counter was very nice, she said “We’re just waiting on your milkshake.” It was 20-25 minutes later before the order was ready, and the milkshake was not even prepared yet. Please advise the front counter to be honest even if it’s not the most favorable situation, this will ensure that customers have accurate wait times established and avoid any additional areas to fall short in. Now I have experienced 2 failed attempts of my order being ready at a certain time instead of just the first one, simply because I was told it would be ready in the amout of time it takes to prepare a milkshake. The food was not excellent.

There are few barbecue places, not to mention fast food places, that have a quality and value comparable to Buddy's. For the price of a Burger King or McDonald's value meal, you can get a MUCH better combo at Buddy's. Easily, the best thing they have is all you can eat ribs (with two sides and hushpuppies) on Saturday, but the pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches are fantastic too. For sides I recommend the cole slaw, potato salad and fries. The baked potatoes and smoked half chickens are also amazing. Not only do they have the dine in quick service options, but they have catering too and a banquet hall. The weirdest thing is that they have the BEST HUSHPUPPIES EVER!!! Why isn't it a random fish and chips spot?!?! IDK, but the Buddy's hushpuppies are delicious and sometimes they even come around the dining room and offer extras. In a world of cost cutting and shrinkflation, they are really delivering a value almost anyone can afford while managing to maintain a level of customer service you simply can't find at this price point.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options include the corn on the cob, green beans, cole slaw, French fries and baked potatoes.Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating to dietary restrictions.Parking: Every location has plenty of directly connected parking.Kid-friendliness: There are plenty of kid friendly options available.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking is available directly in front of the doors and handicapped restrooms are ad well.
