I thought I was giving it to Samarn Chakpuang, the original owner of Jai Dee. I wasn't aware that he'd sold his fine restaurant AND the name to you pikers. I wondered why you gobbled it down rather than saving it for Sam. But now that I know he opened a new place at 6200 Chapman Hwy (Thai Time Restaurant) you can believe I'll be taking my clients there instead! (Why didn't you mention that, even though I was forced to be my own server, I refused to be my own bus boy?)

Great selection of food, pleasant staff and good prices!
I ordered through DoorDash and was pleasantly surprised! The yellow curry was absolutely delicious! I also had the pork gyoza (pot stickers) and they were pretty good. The crab rangoons could have been so much better if they had been larger in size or quantity.. great flavor, but won’t order those again because of the portion size. That’s the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars.

I got takeout: spring rolls and mixed vegetables with chicken, add shrimp. The aesthetics were on point. But the food itself disappointed. For an upcharge to add shrimp, I expected more than 2 shrimps. The flavor of the sauce I don't know how to describe other than it tasted like the smell of dog food. Unappetizing. About 40% of the chicken pieces were so rubbery, I actually did give them to our dog instead of eating them. I have tasted some excellent spring rolls recently, but these truly fell short. The outside texture was reasonably crunchy and smooth, but the inside was wet and smooshy instead of... crisp and chewy textured. They also had a smoky flavor which I did not expect and haven't experienced before. The rice was moist which I appreciated. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes to represent the restaurant, but I just wouldn't come back.
Here's what bugs me: you order at the counter; they give you a buzzer; if you want water, you get it yourself; when your food is ready, you have to pick it up yourself; no one comes by your table to check that the food is okay; then you must bus your own table afterward. In short, it's a fast food environment, and that's fine. Yet when you pay, they ask for a tip. WHY?!? There is literally NO service, but they're asking for a tip for their servers? There are plenty of other Thai places with paid wait staff charging the same prices. I will go there and happily tip generously.

The chicken Pad see ew was okay, but not the best I've had. Can't speak for any other dishes on the menu here, but it was a little greasy and was lacking a bit on flavor and sauce as you can see by how light the noddles and chicken are in the picture. It was fair for the price and quantity though.
