Absolutely loved the chicken and sausage gumbo!! Better than some of the gumbo I’ve had in NOLA. Blue crab cake sandwich was also great. So glad to finally have a good place for Cajun food in Knoxville!

This place is a welcome change from the same old same old. Food is outstanding and I love having a smaller menu. Crawfish dip is so good! Crab cake sandwich was amazing!

Small & cozy space, relaxed vibe, quick service. We had the crab cake sandwich with potato salad, chicken & sausage gumbo and the hot crawfish dip. All were excellent. The dip itself is worth the trip. The crab cake sandwich isn't your normal blah patty style cake but more lump meat crab, which is so much better. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!

Awesome new spot! Great food, and awesome beers from Crafty next door. If you are spice-averse the crab cake sandwich, praline cream cheese spread, roasted garlic ceasar salad, and the potato salad are all phenomenal choices. I'm excited to go back and taste some more!

I’m beyond thrilled that this place is open! Knoxville has needed a great Cajun restaurant for a long time! We had the Hop Cakes appetizer, Caesar Salad, Crab Cake Sandwich and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Everything was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

Vegetarian options: Hop Cakes, Vegetarian Etouffee, Caesar Salad and the Cauliflower Po Boy are all delicious options. They plan to run additional vegetarian specials as well. Considering their limited menu, it’s nice to see at least one vegetarian option in each category of the menu.

Dietary restrictions: The Hop Cakes and Vegetarian Etouffee are absolutely amazing and are also gluten free! I got to speak with Chef Eric about how he made a vegetarian roux and was blown away at his creativity and how delicious it turned out!

I love it. The crab dip is sooooo good. I also loved the crab cake sandwich. My husband had the redbeans and rice, which are already a favorite. Service was friendly and they work hard to make you feel like you are part of their family. The brick walls give it a great chill vibe. The overall look makes you feel like you are finding a hole in the wall restaurant in Nola... You won't regret going.
