This is our second time to Monteagle; having time for a sitdown dinner this time we were looking for something better than fast food. We ended up with lasagna and skillet lasagna; I had the greek salad and my husband had the caesar salad as our sides. As a former owner of a food establishment, it's rare to find a place that makes food that I feel matches my own or even tops what I can make. We both found our meals to be excellent. The price was very fair for the quantity of food we received and we found the server to be very attentive. It was a clean place and I could only eat about half of my meal. It's hard to keep left-overs when traveling but I"m certainly going to try and keep mine cold so I can have some more tomorrow. Great job!

Tasteless food and very slow service. Cold day, so we ordered coffee. Mid-afternoon, so not busy, but we waited 20 min. for our coffee. When the food finally came, it was tasteless. My husband ordered a pizza with Canadian bacon and fresh tomato. My chicken artichoke panini was tasteless, and it looked nothing like a panini--two large slices of French bread, smooth without the characteristic ridges and very pale. Not enough filling to even cover the bread inside. Use smaller bread!Very disappointing!

Very rude staff and when they get busy you have to sit outside and wait instead of utilizing the bar area that is apparently "reserved" for staff use only. we hada party of 8 and gave them our number since they said they would call us when ready for us within an hour. Two hours later, they never called or texted us but by then we already had a great food at another local place with a great atmosphere for a college town in the mountains. Not recommended after this short trip stay over.

Cute local family owned business with great food! However....my pizza was practically thrown at me and not a word after. All she could do was complain about other things going on in the kitchen. Not a thank you, come back, enjoy, or anything.

Met my daughter and her boyfriend with my mom here for lunch. The waitresses came off as harsh but not unfriendly. Their mode of communication about service at tables was to holler loudly across the room which was pretty u professional. They had linen tablecloths and napkins but covered every table top with white paper, which they would then crumple up rather loudly when someone would finish eating. The space is not very large so it made it all the more loud. My mom had to turn her hearing aids down as she said it was almost painful. The food was just okay, nothing to write home about. I ordered the Philly with fries, the bread was soft and fresh and the fries were cooked well. My daughter and her boyfriend ordered the chicken parm and the serving size left a lot to be desired as it wasn’t very big and even came out on more of a saucer than a plate. My mom ordered the chicken parm sandwich and said there was so much marinara that she didn’t eat very much of it.I wouldn’t eat here again.Parking: Location was easy to get in and out of. There was parking on both sides of the building as well as few handicap spots.

The food had no flavor. I had the chicken pompodoro and the chicken was dry and tomatos tasted like they were canned. My friend had the chicken carbonerro and it also had no flavor. Had two glasses of red wine by Bogle which was average at best. The soup was the chicken gumbo and it tasted like it also came out of a can. Very disappointed in quality of food. The best part of the meal was the rolls. I feel like this is a fair review...unfortunately $80 later.
