Oh my goodness! If you have not had a down home cooking in a very long time - this is the place for you! My husband had the pot roast and mashed potatoes open face and the meat just melted in your mouth! Very flavorful and delicious and I'm not even a meat eater. I had the catfish was fried green tomatoes and fried okra and it came with this G-Normas buttermilk biscuit! I could not put that biscuit down it was so so good. Oh my golly, Miss Dolly!! This Sevierville local restaurant is our new must stop when visiting the Pigeon Forge area. We eat out a lot and love southern home cooking. We especially love when a restaurant and chef stick to the tried and true, but elevate it slightly. This is what happens at Five Oaks. First off, you'll notice the modern farmhouse vibe. Food and service was fantastic. Generous portions. Fairly priced. Wife had the fried chicken, stuffed tomatoes and sweet potato. The fried chicken was very good, though the breading was very rich. Sweet potato delicious and the tomato stuffed was unusual but very good. Son had the BBQ sampler platter with pulled pork, brisket and ribs. The brisket was the best piece of pork we have ever eaten.
