First time eating there. Normal Friday night crowd per the couple we were with. Wait time for food was reasonable given the crowd. Food was good. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. Piano playing in the background was a plus. The buildings themselves are worth a look including a general store and soda fountain where you can get ice cream.

Charming stop near Pickwick with fast service and great food. Brisket plate with sweet potato fries and slaw. Brisket was tender and tasty. The fries were good but more limp than I like. Excellent Cole slaw that was crisp, not soggy, and mildly seasoned just right. My view was lush, green and reminiscent of the old Tennessee - inspiring Christian music was playing. We need more restaurants like The Outpost. There is also a gift shop with candy, drinks, t-shirts, candles and fish bait ? Took pics of other buildings around restaurant.

The Outpost is great, i really enjoyed it. The food was good. And we did not have to wait very long for it to be served. The service was top notch. The waitresses were all very nice, did a great job. Everyone there was very friendly. While you wait there are lots of things to see all around you.. I can't wait to go back!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. When we first got there there was the cutest blonde haired little girl who took us to our table and got our menus for us. Just guessing i'd say she was probably about 4-5 yrs old. She was adorable and she also did a great job !

This place is always crowded but we got there early and walked around and took it all in. The food was great. Large portions, decent price. Our wings were not cooked and cold in the middle bit they were quick to replace them. The desserts were very good. Our waitress was less than pleasing and that is the reason for 3 stars on service.Food: 5/5

While the place itself is charming, clean and a wonderful atmosphere, my meal was not great. I ordered the patty melt with fries. The fries were really good but the patty was not made of ground beef. Or nothing like any ground meat I’ve ever had. I couldn’t eat it & neither could my husband. My husband ordered the Philly cheese and it was good. Also, our server was good and attentive.

Friendly staff. Food was excellent. Good family atmosphere. Gift shops were very quaint. Loved the old music pictures, refurb outboard motors. Great outdoors with excellent places to take pictures and a venue area for a wedding or reception.Food: 5/5

From the moment our food arrived, our party of three spent the entire time ooh-ing and ahh-ing over what we were eating. The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday afternoon after you would have expected the lunch rush to end, but we were immediately seated.I had the reuben w/ fries (my favorite meal, and this is easily in my top 3 ever), my kiddo had the classic bologna sandwich w/ chips, and our lunch partner had the Philly cheese steak w/fries. I left with half of my reuben and fries that made a whole other meal!We shopped a little at the attached stores and walked down to the ice cream shop for a sweet treat to end our meal. Great experience!

Excellent food. Barbecue was delicious. However it is not a sweet barbecue sauce if that is your thing. It is a mustard and vinegar base. Everything we ordered was quite tasty! The atmosphere is very welcoming and such a fun and lovely dining area looking out into the beautiful woods. The service was excellent and afterwards pick up some of the yummy fried pies, full pies, cakes, banana bread etc in the country store.

The service was a little slow but this isn't the type of place that rushes you out, either. Excellent brisket (order extra sauce on the side) and ribeye sandwiches. We will definitely return!

This place has seriously gone downhill! The last time I was in here it took 40 minutes to get food. The next time I came in they were equally busy, so I went and grabbed some ice and filled up my coolers at the gas station and came back to find ice cold food. I asked for them to at least heat it up and they refused and said it was ready as soon as I left. I also watched them all touch the fries to see how cold they were before they handed the same plate back to me! I won't be coming back here. Good food, but the horrible service makes it not worth coming!

We enjoy the food and service enough that my bride wanted us to be married there in the venue behind the restaurant. The wedding went very well. Thanks to all that helped out.

Where do I begin, the hostess and the waitress were very hospitable and the food was fulfilling! The southwestern egg rolls and barbecue chicken nachos were so good and plentiful, I couldn't eat it all in one sitting. I'd say, The Outpost was worth my drive and if you're passing through Savnnah stop by... they also serve breakfast (which I'll be trying soon) and dinner ?

This retro-look hodgepodge of buildings offers interesting local crafts and delightful restaurant with tasty offerings. Atmosphere is casual as are the entrées on the menu. Take a look at the offerings on the menu attached to your photos. This is a delightful place to stop for a spot to eat or to pick up some local memorabilia. Try the next time you're near Savannah Tennessee or the Pickwick dam.
