My family and I absolutely love this place. We have been going there for several years and recommend it to friends and family often.

This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Abilene. With a combo of Cuban and Mexican dishes, there's such a great variety and good food to choose from! We got the stuffed pineapple and Aye Dios Mio and they were incredible (yes that's HALF a grilled pineapple and a bacon wrapped burrito).

The worst service I have ever had. The people that sat down 10 mins after is had appetizers, drinks and food, amd we still never got our drinks. Needless to say we walked out. I will not be going back. If I could give zero stars I would.

I ordered chicken Fajitas and another got a fajita quesadilla. The chicken was so dry we could hardly chew it. Also, my tortillas were hard and not warm. Overall it was not a good visit. We'll never return there

First of all the service was very good. We had at least three people check on us during lunch. Our main waitress was very friendly and pleasant. As for the food everything was very good, well above average for the area. I had the brisket quesadilla and it was really good. The cilantro lime rice was a bit too heavy on the cilantro for me but it was really good. Queso was served with fried pork skins and it was surprisingly good. Ice tea was really good too. I recommend you try it.

This place was okay. I was a bit disappointed at the Cuban Egg Rolls that came highly recommended from their reviews. There was barely anything inside, just full of carbs. I had the Fricassee Pollo and it was fairly good.

Food was ok looked like I ordered the kids menu one very small enchilada one little taco queso was 6 dollars dang but I got lucky it was half off somehow I guess it was porkrhines they give you with the queso please be careful they will break your teeth I think they were old or reused wish I could go back in time I have just gotten a margarita seems like that's probably what they best at the servers were amazing tho won't be surprised if they only make profit off of drinks the feel good ones

I followed them from n. 1st to s. 1st and I'll continue to follow wherever they go. Great food every time! And the prices are really good compared to most other restaurants in town.

Food is amazing. One of the very few restaurants in Abilene that I go to very often.Update: Since the move, they have upgraded their menu, and it is delicious. I almost ordered 2 entrées

My wife and I tried Don Luis Cafe today. I remember when he was located on Buffalo Gap Rd. The new location is very central. Not much parking and a lot of restaurants have tried making a go of the familiar S. 1st location. The food was good. I ordered the beef fajitas but got the chicken instead, no biggie. My wife had a combo plate. For a lunch menu, the portions were very big and everything was fresh and hot. Try the coconut tea. PS if you wash the cast iron with dish detergent, don't... I tasted a slight hint of soap in my fajitas.
