Came out from San Antonio to the Terlingua Chili Cookoff and was told to stop by Harry's for a cold beer but it's all closed up on Friday night?? -----------Just heard from one of his patrons in his parking lot that he might have passed away last week. So sorry I missed him as we'd heard some interesting things about his place. Hope they try to keep the place open if they can. We need more places like Harry's!

Very cool place and Harry is the best! My girlfriend and I found ourselves stuck in Alpine after our car broke down and we were very lucky to stumble upon Harry's Tinaja. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Alpine!

I walked in there looking for information and fell in love with the dive bar and patrons...Friendly real people..I live 1300 miles from there and been there 4 or five times.That and Howards in Shiner are the best watering holes on 90!

Looks like a nice place, but they told us they don’t serve any food. So, pretty disappointing after driving to the place and the pictures show food.
The service was great! Not too sure about the owner. A very cute laid-back little place. Also, very friendly and generous patrons! I will definitely be back!
