Love this food, concept and the love behind it! Bundt cakes are heavenly and the bread for the sandwiches is so yummy - as are the sandwiches too!! Great friendly staff and lots of goodies to buy in addition to the delicious fresh made food!

Lovely spot in Alpine. The staff is super friendly and attentive.Nice indoor intimate environment to share coffee or a meal with a friend, also outdoor seating in a not too busy street so it still feels relaxing. You walk in and the food smells great, pastries are rich in taste and with great texture. Chocolate cake, cookies, muffins, nothing was a miss, all 5/5.Prices are reasonable for the environment and quality and dedication put into the food.

Ate breakfast here 4-13-21. Very good breakfast. The frittata was excellent. Had a delicious moist muffin and coffee also. They seemed genuinely happy to have people there. The atmosphere is cute, comfortable.

They kindly gave us a delicious free chocolate chip cookie to sample while we were deciding on our order: a Mini-Bundt Carrot Cake, a Mini-Bundt Strawberry Orange Cake, and a Blueberry Muffin. Each item was tasty with a moist and delicate texture. They didn't have lattes, so we ordered straight coffee, which was well balanced and served as an excellent foil for the sweets. Thank you for a wonderful experience — we 100% recommend Taste and See Bakery!

Adorable lil bakery in Alpine. We stopped here yesterday to get some coffee and baked goods before hitting the road to Big Bend. The inside is spacious and there's as much of a mini-market there as there is a cafe. Even though they committed a cardinal sin in our eyes (making iced coffee by putting a bunch of hot coffee on ice), we weren't mad. The coffee actually still tasted pretty good (just make some prepared iced coffee to go in the fridge! It's not hard! And it's 80 degrees out...). Our daughter got a gratis spelt chocolate chip cookie and we all split a mini bundt carrot cake that was delicious. There's also a good brand of almond milk yogurt if you're into that. The owner chatted with us for a bit and she was so sweet. This is a charming local establishment that is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Beautiful Raspberry Tart with real pastry cream, it was delicious! The women at the counter were so kind and friendly. Kids get a free cookie. And the coffee was quite good as well, very smooth and balanced.

Don’t miss this stop if you are in the beautiful Big Bend area. Incredibly delicious pastries and breads baked from ancient grains hand milled onsite. Staff is friendly and passionate everything they make. Bakery walls showcase gorgeous paintings of favorite Big Bend hikes and vistas painted by the owner’s mom.

Taste and See was recommended to us from a waiter in Marathon. We detoured to Alpine to get lunch to take to Big Bend. The ladies who run the bakery are just great! The food is equal to the service. We had sandwiches, pimento cheese, hummus, a tart and chocolate cake. Very much worth the detour.

Bob and Kelli Phillips from Texas Country Reporter knew we were passing through Alpine and texted us that we should stop, eat and say "Hi" to Ginger! So glad we stopped! Great ancient grain breads with grain ground on Monday. Wonderful Jambon and Burere, amazing blueberry muffins and delicious coffee.Great suggestion Bob and Kelli. Thank you!
