Ate here for brunch with a buddy and both of us found hairs in our food. We ended up not saying anything but I thought that was kind of crazy 2 out 2 meals had hair in them. The amount of bacon they put on the sandwich was almost laughable. Definitely way overpriced for what you get. Won’t be back.

Nice date night evening. Service was good. Server tried hard. The dirty martini was less than dirty and wasn't served with olives. Fresh Oysters were very good as was the scallops and risotto and apple crisp. Unfortunately the worst part of the evening was the unbearably hard and uncomfortable metal chairs. They proved to be a distraction to all of the good that was offered.

I've been to the mud bug area. I ordered the Etouffee. It was tasty and good, but it's not Etouffee. Tomatoes, zucchini and carrots are not in Etouffee. I understand that there is a version that will use carrot, but I think that is in the northern part of LA. I also order the bacon shrimp was vary good.

Ya know it's going to be expensive but you're hoping it's going to be great but....
After years of being a customer of the Drunken Oyster, I’m calling it quits. This restaurant has become far too inconsistent for the price. I will continue to take my business to the Bar 3 instead, which is where their best chef moved to. I was served raw chicken tonight in my dish. This is a HUGE mistake for a kitchen like this to make. If I was at Chilis, sure, I’d be less surprised. But this was my last straw. I was also not comped for this on my bill. I feel like that should have happened. By this time I was ready to leave. Besides the raw chicken, the sauce on both of my dishes (the raw and the remake) was broken and clumped. I also had to wait around 20 minutes for my dish to be remade. Unacceptable. My waitresses were very kind. That was the best part of the experience. The manager very clearly wasn’t concerned about any of the situation. After 6+ years of brunches and dinners, I can confidently say that the quality has significantly dropped. I won’t be back.

Went for a light Sunday night meal with drinks. The pecan old fashion was excellent and everyone at the table had two because they were so good. Had the steak bites for a starter and also very tasty. Shared the fried seafood basket and one person had the shrimp and grits. All entrees were very good. Was a very enjoyable evening.

Seating was an issue; but once resolved service wasn't the best. Ordered the Steak and mussels, which came with Sweet Potatoes mash, and rice. Friday night which I am imagining is one of their busiest nights; but they ran out of Sweet potatoes; but it seems to be a side for most of their dishes. Server started off nice enough; but service was extremely slow; and I believe she forgot about us once or twice; as we had to constantly flag her down. When food did arrive (she also stated it was a long time in preparation) the mussels were cold, the rice was cold and hard. She apologized, brought the food back to the Kitchen; and approximately 10 minutes later, food came back; and the rice was extremely watery and bland (you could see the water on the plate) and mussels were over cooked. Rather than have the plate go back a second time; I just declined and enjoyed the band and watch my wife eat. Server became a little aggressive; manager or supervisor never came over to explain or apologize for the meal - which is disappointing

Love the food! Love the menu, good staff, great cocktails from the bar. The live music is VERY VERY loud for a space with all hard surfaces at the ceilings, wall, and concrete floor. My biggest issue - the issue that would make The Drunken Oyster ONE OF THE BEST in town if they fixed this - are the CHAIRS. Quite literally, I'd think someone crafted them from 55-gallon drums. Their very uncomfortable and really do not suit the ambiance of such a great restaurant. It would greatly help to at least start varying the seating with other options, please!
Great food (don't miss the catfish bites!), fun atmosphere, great drinks and live music; what's not to love?
