I went with a bunch of my family members and this place was awful. The atmosphere was very dark and drab, but they did turn on the lights for us in the backroom. All you could smell was cigarette smoke so we had them turn the fan on behind us which did help. They brought me out my food first and I sat there waiting for napkin and silverware but instead they had plastic forks and knives no napkins. My shrimp was supposed to come with garlic bread and crackers, they didn't have any crackers so they asked if I wanted fritos. I sat there and started eating my food while everybody else waited for their food because mine started getting cold. My shrimp was okay but everybody else's food was very mediocre except for the hamburgers and the BLT those were okay. I normally never give bad reviews but it's a long way out in the middle of nowhere and I just wanted people to be aware before you drive that distance to know what you're getting into. The prices are ok the service was ok but looking at all the ratings I was very surprised and disappointed.

If you find yourself backed up to the Trinity with no road left to run, this spot is perfect. Although, bear in mind, they do close the doors at 9:00.

Been wanting to come here for years after driving from Houston to Crystal Beach. Went on. Monday so the place was slow. Staff were super nice, attentive and talkative if you engaged with them. We had a burger and fries which I thought were very solid alongside some Shiner Bocks. It has an old school, dive bar appeal with an expansive covered deck out back that backs up to a waterway. Have to say I am glad I made it out here and worth getting off the beaten path. I’d come back on a weekend when it was a little busier.

The main room is a bar and the other room is the "restaurant" for dining. It appeared that there was outside seating by the water as well. ? Cash or check only.Went on a Sunday evening and were the only patrons there for dinner. They turned the restaurant lights on for us for our own personal dining experience. ? Local folks were gathered at the bar visiting, however they made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. We received very welcoming, friendly service and excellent food. The menu consists of anyone's favorite American food. Chicken tender basket was crispy and not the least bit greasy. It has a very relaxed, interesting and colorful atmosphere.

This place was so bad we walked in and right out the back door. It’s not nice or friendly and was full of smokers at the bar who are clearly locals.
A nice getaway
Great fish sandwhich! Crab balls were excellent. Down home atmosphere wonderful outside on the water dining area. Just a great place.

A great hidden gem a little off the beaten path. We had dinner here recently after visiting the Anahuac Winery. Amber, the owner/operator was very friendly and welcoming to us and the burgers were great. We had a great time talking with the other customers, all of who were very friendly and welcoming.
