Not my first time here. Staff is uncaring to be from the south. Food at times can be good if they are slow...otherwise you don't know what you may get. Hot meat but cold old fries. I am from New Orleans and thus is my to go spot for being close to home. I know the family personally, and I'm glad they opened up thus spot, plus the renovations were greatly appreciated. Love All of their menu have eaten nearly all.. As for the Gumbo.. FABULOUS DOWN IN ACADIANA..DOWN Lafayette way ..Fish is definitely a staple in seafood gumbo. It is DELIOUS. I GO THERE QUITE

Crawfish was perfectly seasoned. Sausage links have a distinct taste, possibly homemade? Fried catfish, shrimp, and oysters were all delicious. Overall, everything tasted great but we took it to go, so can’t speak to how it’s like eating there.

My wife and I heard that they had good seafood over there and so her and I went to get us something to eat. I ordered 2 lb of boiled crawfish she ordered 2 lb of boiled shrimp we also had the boil sausage with boiled eggs and corn. The Crawfish was okay although it wasn't the same as we have when we are in Louisiana but the shrimps were horrible and had no flavor at all. I will return to try the shrimp po-boy in some of the other items that they had on the menu.

Highly disappointed. I ordered a catfish plate & crawfish. The fish was super thin;as if they butterfly cut it to get 3-4 pieces from one filet. It was also unnecessarily crispy; there was much more batter than actual fish.The crawfish were VERY SMALL & OVERCOOKED. They put extra ‘crawfish juice’ in the bag to give it more weight. I couldn’t enjoy the crawfish bc the overcooked tails broke up upon attempting to remove them from the shell and all the extra juice made it a sloppy, wet messy.Overall, Bayou Cat’s method of thinly slicing one piece of catfish to make multiple filets & adding extra liquid to the tiny overcooked crawfish bag to make it weight more is unethical and shady.I won’t be back. I could’ve spent my $53 elsewhere.
