Cool cocktails, have been out of some of the spirits on the menu both times I've come. Per my inebriated barstool neighbor, there's something about the banners being book references and if you can guess it... something happens? But other than that, fairly standard cocktail bar. No snackies, not a lot of atmosphere to set it apart from the pack.
Great vibe. Very classy feeling bar with high top seating as well as chairs and even couches with tables. Wonderful signature cocktails and great bourbon selection. Prices are what you would expect for downtown. They do not have outdoor seating.

We had such a good time here. Was with 8 friends on Friday night and the folks at Academia TOTALLY took care of us. Food was amazing. Bartender made us some drinks I've never heard of. The best for me (on the menu) was the chartreuse shot with root beer chaser. Will definitely be back (at the very least so I can figure out what The Gonk is). Thank you for an awesome night in Austin.
