Where the hell do you park or walk in

I landed here when my husband swore he saw a Verve Coffee shop when he drove by. I'm a coffee snob and Verve coffee is literally the best of the best (in my opinion). We looked it up and couldn't find anything online. We even called Verve coffee's headquarters and they confirmed that there is no verve coffee shop in Austin. (It's a California company) After some investigation we found out that this is a coffee spot inside of the Capital One bank building! A little different but we went inside anyways. I had a honey lavender latte and it was DEVINE! The barista was super nice. They will try to get you to sign up with them (you get 50% off everything if you are a capital one customer), but they weren't annoying about it or persistent at all. Just very friendly. Kind of a cool concept actually. Anyways we are glad we stoped by. We don't live in Austin but we will be back next time we are in town.

okay, so my beef has nothing to do with the product - some of the best vegan baked goods you could ever want are indeed here. HOWEVER. this business has only been open “by appointment only” for /months/ now, and the only mention of this is a hand-written sign they have taped to the door and one little line in their instagram bio. no posts were made to communicate these changes to their customer base, and google does not reflect these changes. their brick and mortar is NOT open to the public anymore. you can only order via their site or by phone, but those yield issues of their own. the site will list every item as unavailable, or there will be some other site-related issue preventing you from ordering, or they won’t answer their phones. I honestly don’t know how they’ve managed to stay afloat at this point. I really love this business and want to support it, but it’s become increasingly harder to do so. as constructive criticism for ownership - please be more communicative if you want to maintain what’s left of your customer base.

Honestly: fuck this place. They are only scheduled to be open 4 days a week and most of those days they can't be assed to open at all, or they open several hours late. If you don't show up exactly when they open (if they bother opening at all) they will likely be sold out already. Who the fuck runs a business this way? This is probably the 5th or 6th straight week they either didn't open at all or opened very late. They USUALLY post to their social media when they aren't open or open late, but today they didn't even fucking bother. Their food is exceptional, but good luck even having the opportunity to purchase it.

Vegan bakery. Very yummy cupcakes and muffins. Tried the blueberry muffins and peanut butter cupcake.

I did not realize that this was a vegan bakery (we just were walking by) so my taste wouldn’t really count here but I personally was not a fan. When we walked in there were only a few cupcakes left since it was the end of the day/weekend. They did look good though. The biggest problem I had was how filthy the place looked. The decor was cute (of course) but the floors and tables were all DIRTY. The place was welcoming enough. We had to wipe down the table, but sitting there looking at the super dirty floor was not appetizing.

I honestly don’t leave bad reviews but this experience was terrible and I need to warn future folks who wants to order a cake here so this doesn’t happen to you.I sent an email for a cake, they never told me that I had to pay the invoice prior to pick up. They told me at 5pm the day before pick up via email so I obviously missed it . Day of pick up they canceled my order .. for a 60$ cake… that i was obviously going to pay. i think they just forgot but still, please more clear when accepting orders so this doesn’t happen to someone else’s birthday.Never again!

Got a vegan cheesecake and oh my it was so delicious! You wouldn’t even know it’s dairy free.
