Great food, service, ambiance. Not too loud but lively enough to feel social. Welcoming crew with good knowledge of their dishes. Great bar seating with backs to the seats! Most importantly the food is fantastic. Opinion: better wine list than the neighbors for a similar price tag, which will keep me coming back here more often than not!

Compared to the other locations this one felt a bit cramped. Lots of kids, so noise made it a bit hard to hear. Server must have been training. Unfamiliar with some menu items and should have recommended sides to go with some of dishes.

My partner and I had a lovely dining experience at Ling Wu at the Grove Saturday evening with an 8 PM reservation. Parking garages are free after 5PM. It's an intimate setting, where we were seated close to two other parties, the ambiance was vibrant and not too loud. Our server and staff were great. They worked well together.
The menu offered a variety of options. We particularly enjoyed the lettuce wraps and the scallop caviar sui mai, which were both standout dishes. The salmon and yellowtail salad was refreshing, though it would have been better if the fish had been diced to complement each bite of the mango salad more effectively. The lobster cheese balls were yummy and if you use the mix from the lettuce wrap, adds even more flavor.
We tried the alligator entrée, which tasted like fried chicken karaage. I ordered a tart and foamy drink.
After your meal, take a leisurely stroll around the area. There's a park around the corner and there was a band performing music, it was nice to enjoy with the cooler wind.

Very tasty food. We had dumplings, spicy cucumbers and a duck. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. Highly recommended!

Food is good but very limited options for vegans and vegetarians.
I like this restaurant group and have eaten at any many of their restaurants over the years. Favorite being Qi. But I was shocked at the prices at Ling Wu for this style of food, the location, and the casual ambience. The dim sum was solid as expected and consistent with their other locations. The other food was good but nothing was mind blowing, and definitely not worth the price tag. There are other restaurants with this style of food that are more reasonable priced and/or areas of town that justify it.

Staff was friendly and place was nice looking. Drinks were good. We had a table of vegetarian and non-vegetarian eaters. The non-vegetarian dishes were good (duck pancakes and true morel chicken in lotus leaf), however the veg dishes were sad. The steamed spinach dumpling wasn't tasty at all. The crispy tofu with veggies was just literally tofu and veggies. It wasn't very good. We took it home and made it into a stir fry. Much better.
Overall, I'd come back to try other meat dishes, but I don't recommend this place for vegetarians.
We also sat outside in the evening and there was a constant torrent of flies picking at us/our food, which was uncomfortable.
Vegetarian options: Steamed spinach dumpling
Crispy tofu and vegetables

So glad to have this location up North! Wonderful service and overall experience. We were running about 10 minutes late to our reservation and they called to see if we were on the way; very friendly and understanding. Food and drinks were just as good as we had at the Southwest location. Haven't had a bad experience at Ling Wu. We'll be back soon!

Glad that a location has opened up north of the Downtown area. Have been a big fan of Chef Ling’s restaurants around Austin.
Food is consistently amazing (but a little pricey), with the appetizers and entrées all being great. Personal favorites are the Akushi Beef Potstickers or Bao’s, Chicken Shitake Sumai, Kung Pao Chicken, Combo Fried Rice and Veg Hakka Noodles.
Chef Ling’s restaurants are by far the best Asian restaurants with an ambience in Austin!

A really cool place! The moscow mule was not good so perhaps the bartender should work on that skill but everything else was good.
