There is usually a very friendly lady working the drive thru. The guy working the drive thru this morning had no customer service skills whatsoever. Don’t rush people. Don’t just say anything else anything else and portray that you’re annoyed to be working. It’s called a job for a reason. It’s a way to pay bills. As a manager myself, I would never expect anything less than excellent customer service from my team members at all times. Remember to be kind. ♥️ I even said, have a great day at the end, and he turned and walked away. There is no reason to be a jerk to somebody who is nice to you don’t work in this business. If you can’t handle it being busy, it wasn’t even that busy like three cars in the drive-through is not busy. I hope a manager sees this and knows who is working and can address it because you’re gonna have other customers who won’t speak up

Sooo, I used to LOVE Taco Shack, and I guess I still do, but this particular location seems pretty sad.Walking in, it just looked dirty everywhere, and the employees that I was able to see were in no rush to be of service and looked like they definitely did not want to be there. Understandable in this day and age, I guess.I suppose the worst part of this one experience was the gentleman in front of me, who had obviously been waiting "too long", went to get a fountain soda, and informed the staff that the ice coming out was dirty. Having worked over seven years in the restaurant industry in Austin, I don't doubt that the dispenser was probably gross up inside, though I did not see it for myself. After he informed staff, there was no offer to get him clean ice or anything, and the employees seemed pretty disinterested in doing anything about it.In my eyes, this is a reflection of bad store management and/or policy.I won't be going back to this location.

Limited seating in tiny indoor dining area.Bathroom located outside similar to what is found at some gas stations.I ordered the chorizo sausage plate. I couldn't finish it. The chorizo taste and looked like it was made yesterday. The plate was not warm. The cheese would not melt. The flour tortilla cold. They do not accommodate. I wanted carne guisada instead of chorizo and they said no. I was willing to pay extra but still no. I had to get order exactly as made on menu.Ridiculous price for 12 oz can of soda. The patio was nice and the only reason why I give three stars for environment.

I’ve been coming to Taco Shack for over 20 years now, dating back to high school. To this day, nothing quite like a Burnet Road burrito to start the day.

Consistently great tacos, usually get the Barbacoa, carne asada, or just bacon cheese and egg. Try the El Niño, has charizo, refried beans, cheese, jalapeños no egg but it's my significant other's favorite. Today we came by and weren't able to dine in- they were short staffed unfortunately but the drive through was open!!!

I saw the poor reviews and thought “surely they can’t mess up orders that often…” and it was only the second time I ordered from here that I experienced it for myself. These types of reviews span several years, which is indicative of poor management/ownership.I ordered 2 tacos with potato, bacon, cheese & avocado. When I got home and found they added egg to the tacos, and I didn’t see any bacon. I tried to call Taco Shack for a refund, but their number is disconnected.I decided to drive back and ask them to remake the tacos. Although it’s not difficult to follow instructions and this company seems to fail at it repeatedly, I wanted to show some grace and try again. Now I wish I just asked for a refund — I returned home with the correct tacos, and the bacon was terribly undercooked; seemed like it was microwaved. For reference, the bacon was perfectly cooked to a crisp when I ordered Taco Shack for the first time last week.Pay attention to these reviews, Taco Shack is a waste of time and money.

Ok, I have rated Taco Shack before about how slow they are, now I can share how rude and unaccomodating they are. 10 minutes before 11 and I ask if I can order nachos and was told no(I've ordered nachos right before 11 before like 20 times because I go there a couple times a week). I told them I'd wait the extra 10 minutes, I don't understand what will change in 10 minutes...I was then told I can't wait at the speaker because it will mess up their speaker. I just left to go to Cafe Java, the let me order nachos anytime they are open. So rude..

I have been going to taco shack for years for breakfast tacos/burritos. I think in general the food is pretty good. However, more recently their prices are just ridiculous and they care more about being stingy with food portions than customer service or value. For instance their Burnet Road Burrito is like 8 dollars and comes with bacon. I try to avoid meat and they don't have an option without meat. If I ask for avocado instead of bacon they won't substitute but instead charge like an additional 2 dollars (but of course don't deduct anything for taking out the bacon). This is highly annoying and very inconsiderate of people who don't eat meat. They also have a Migas burrito but it's somehow 1.50 more than the Burnet Road Burrito (9.75) even though it has no meat or avocado. Not only that but it's smaller than the Burnet Road burrito. If you ask them to make it the same size as the other burritos they refuse and say they have strict portion sizing (even though frequently the amount of filling varies greatly from small burrito size to taco size filling inside giant tortilla). So you end up paying almost 10 dollars for a burrito that is a mouthful of tortilla. I like their breakfast but I wish they weren't so stingy with the portion sizes (for the price they charge). I also wish there was another option near me so it would be easier to just stop going there entirely.

Try Me
The service at this place sucks. I'm glad I didn't get the opportunity to try the food. I ordered a couple of breakfast tacos, i place my order in Drive-Thru once I pulled up to the window. I handed my debit card to the cashier, at this point in time she handed me my food. She tried to run my debit card. I was told the computer is down and has to reboot. Ok fine understandable after 10 minutes of waiting in the Drive-Thru she couldn't figure out what was going on. She asked if I had cash I said I have about $5 on Me In cash. That wasn't enough my total was $7 and some change. At this point in time I heard a cook in Spanish tell the cashier"explain to the people what's going on because they're going to get mad", the cashier replied in Spanish "I don't care if they get mad this is not my fault". As a manager in the service industry it is your obligation to make sure your guests are always happy. I told her you know it's only a dollar and some change how about I give you the five bucks and I just take the two tacos. she said no I'm going to get in trouble and as a matter of fact I need the food back I can't give it to you since I can't charge you. I asked to speak to the manager she said I am the manager, and if I don't like it to call the owners of the restaurant. If the owners of this company believe that she is a qualified manager why would I want to speak to them?
