It really makes me sad to be probably one of the last reviews of Thunderbird. I am disappointed in myself for not visiting sooner, the location is 10 minutes from my house and is prime. I got a simple decaf cappuccino with oat milk, but it was truly one of the best i've ever had. It didn't taste like oats at all, it was the closest thing to a real cappuccino. The baristas were super friendly and even though I only spent maybe 5 minutes in there, I can tell how much of a loss this is going to be for our community. I was hoping to get to go a second time but I didn't make it back. Thank you for a great cup of coffee Thunderbird, and for serving Austin for 17 years.

I had just tried to order a 16 oz. latte at the Coffee Shop That Shall Not Be Named, and I had just been told that, oh, no, they serve only 12 oz. lattes. So I shrugged, left, and went to Thunderbird Coffee.Smart move! Not only did they have 16 oz. lattes, they had 2% milk and lots of yummy flavors, including salted butterscotch (seasonal). In short, they were prepared to give the customer whatever the customer wants. My server was super-friendly. There was a ton of free parking behind the building. And -- most important -- my latte tasted great!Even though I live closer to the Coffee Shop That Shall Not Be Named, I'm willing to go out of my way for Thunderbird.

A blue or plaid collared shirt kind of coffee shop. Very clean n professional. Not my vibe personally. Very sad and upset drawings of bagels

I can see why they’re shutting down. Grounds in my chai the last 3 times I’ve been here, and they can’t seem to get my drink extra hot. Love the atmosphere - other coffee shops are way better.

Went for a quick morning drink and quick bite because we had a schedule and needed something to eat so we weren't starving by lunch.Got a cold chai latte and a cold brew. The cold brew was smooth. The chai latte was weak, wasn't a fan. Also got a croissant and an everything bagel with cream cheese. The croissant was typical, no issues there.. The bagel was supposed to be toasted but had no crust/crunch in any way, shape, or form. I don't like untoasted bready bagel and had definitely asked for it to be toasted. Unfortunately didn't realize until we were already on the road.Overall was decent, some good, some bad.

Got a dirty spiced chai late and it was good! Not the best I’ve had but good. Also had just a regular hot latte and that was great. They made an excellent drink. Plenty of space to sit outside and inside. And the best part? Plenty of parking!

I haven't been to thunderbird since I move away from manor road to north Austin and it's been my biggest regret. On a day off I decided to go get a "fresh" sandwich as I used to 3 years ago, but it wasn't available they had a new menu. So I ordered the early bird sandwich with was so good and the egg inside the sandwich had the perfect cooked yolk. 9/10 The Iced caramel coffee used to be my bread and butter but it was only ok this time and that okay still good 7/10But this bean taco was the worst thing I ever put in my mouth. Who put whole beans in a breakfast taco like that!!!! It all spills out! Def from a can. The single rotting sliver of Avocado is laughable, but the repulsing factor was the potatoes. I opened my taco to see how they prepared it and the potato looked raw so I went to bite one to confirm but it was in fact soft but the taste was horrible. I spit it out into a napkin and couldn't get the cumin based seasoning out of my mouth no matter how much coffee I drank. which is probably why I felt the drink was only okay. -100/10I went up to the friendly cashier and asked if it was made in house because I assumed only a bad taco like this can probably come from "el chilito" but no it was indeed made in house. I informed him with my sincerest apologizes that it was inedible and if I could have a refund for the taco. He completely understood and apologized and when I mentioned the seasoning he agreed. He refunded my taco which was very nice of him. I threw that taco in the trash and went in to enjoy my other items. Thank God the breakfast sandwich was good. Oh and don't get the red salsa either 0/10 Honestly garlic, salt, and pepper would probably be just fine. The service was a 10/10 Food was 5/10 hits and missesAmbiance 10/10 so much seating I and out and plenty of electrical outlets also still very cozy and community orientedAnd 100/10 for the new parking lot I'd like to go back to lunch to see if they have more options in food if not I'll probably just got to cherrywood or bennu close by

We ordered Ice cappuccino and Ice Americano for to go, the coffees are good except the lid is not properly made, easily loose and spills most of the time specially in a moving

Big parking lot + big space to work! This place is just that - everyone here comes with a laptop and it gets full very quickly. In a city where coffee is average at best, this place is an exception. There's also plenty of non-coffee options.

Overall pretty decent iced latte, but the espresso itself seemed quite sour(caused serious heartburn). So to someone who is picky with espresso, this place is not the best…of course it could have just been my cup. To most though, the coffee was good and nothing else to complain about. Huge parking lot, and the service was

Definitely up there for the best coffee shop in Austin. The Honey Nut Late is easily my favorite drink and their breakfast sandwiches are delicious! It's in a great location too. If you want to bike there are protected bike lanes up and down Manor. If you want to take the Bus the 20 will get you there easy. And if you want to drive they just expanded their parking lot.

Thunderbird is a cool hip little coffee shop on Manor road. I stopped and for an Thai iced coffee while running some errands.Atmospheric vibe is chill, there are several folks working on various laptops and tablets. Hipster chill.Coffee came out in a few minutes, barista was friendly but also busy. They have plenty of parking on the side of the building.

I think I'm going to have to say that this is one of my top favorite coffee shops in Austin!I came here on a later Sunday morning, and had a hot matcha tea latte along with a tomato basil sandwich for brunch. I wanted to ask if they could make one of the turkey or chicken sandwiches without turkey or chicken, since the sauce and cheese combos for those sandwiches sounded better, but I let it go this time around haha.My sandwich was surprisingly good. Just the right size, and the bread was crusty/crunchy on the outside while still being easy to eat, haha. I hate it when the bread is so tough, it rips your mouth! The seating area is super cozy, and lots of natural light comes in thanks to the wide windows. It's right across from Este and other fun, "beach town" - esque restaurants and cafes. Hope to return to this location in the near future!
