We had a wonderful meal! We skipped the Chef's menu because we wanted the pork ribs and no substitutions are allowed. We had the ribs, the red snapper, garlic naan with fermented chili butter (!!), short rib empanadas (!!!), and the chocolate cremeux for dessert! We also indulged in some very delicious cocktails. Perfect place for brunch. They have a Goan inspired menu that’s the perfect balance of flavor and spice. I got the peri peri chicken and waffles wifey got Pao Pao sandwich. Highly recommend both (see pics).

This restaurant hit that sweet spot of good food, reasonable prices, decent wine list, nice decor, and music that is pleasant and not too loud (a pet peeve of mine with many new Austin restaurants); plus - what a catchy name based on an old fable. While I am not a vegetarian, it had many veggie options and will be our new go-to for taking vegetarian/vegan friends.
