Weary of the upscale, high dollar Mexican restaurants in Austin that have largely replaced the beloved TexMex standbys of years past, we drove to Bastrop on a hunt for the TexMex comfort food we craved. At El Corral Lozano, we found it! Yum! ¡La comida es muy muy rica! Everything from the chips and salsa, the cheese enchilada plate, and the fresh hot corn tortillas to the chile relleno, chicken flautas, Mexican Coke, and horchata were delicious. Our "go to" place for breakfast. Great food. Fantastic breakfast special prices. Best Service - thank you Lorena & Mirna. Lunch specials are great too especially Monday (fajitas) and Tuesday (enchiladas). We haven't had any food that we didn't absolutely enjoy.
