Food and service are great. Visiting from out of town. The first 2 impressions were not good signs, dirty entry area and hostess chatting in the kitchen. BUT atmosphere was great once inside. The wait staff and kitchen staff made me want to come back.First impressions are everything! See you again when back in town. Will be back.

Went in about 2p on March 24 with the family. We were greeted and got our drinks fairly promptly. Server was friendly.Son had the kid's cheeseburger with fries and a lemonade. Daughter has chicken tortilla soup. Wife had a mix of sides (hush puppies, mashed potatoes, broccoli) and I had the chicken fried chicken. Everything was very good. Kids also ordered the cookie skillet for dessert which they really enjoyed. It was a very good meal and I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area. They have a lot of options on the menu.

The family really enjoyed the food. Originally they were understaffed and said there would be a wait but it didn't seem to be long at all.

We stopped in here at 6 pm on a Thursday with a party of 6 people. There was no wait, but it was pretty slow. Lupe was our server. She was upbeat, friendly, helpful, and professional. She got refills without being asked, and she offered dessert (which most of us ordered). There were 3 steaks ordered and zero complaints! I ordered the fried pork chops, and they were truly fantastic. They were breaded and seasoned just right. They were not over the top with the spices, and they were cooked perfectly. I reheated them in my air-fryer this morning and they are still fork tender!!! *See picture* Whoever was cooking last night is a Rock Star ?. I also had sweet potato fries, which were decent, and hushpuppies that were great. I love hushpuppies, and these were the only ones I have enjoyed since moving to TX last June. The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was just mediocre, and I didn't get any feedback on the Monterey Chicken, unfortunately (sorry). There were 2 orders of peach cobbler and one blackberry cobbler ordered, and those were just ok. I'm guessing they are the ones that come frozen in a big 11x14 tin pan that you pop in the oven. They're not bad, they're just meh. The fried pickles were done well, but super greasy. The queso skillet dip wasn't very hot, so it was kind of coagulated, but it had a good flavor. The artichoke dip was pretty good, and the mozzarella sticks were decent as well. Everyone LOVED the fried mushrooms. The atmosphere was alright. It felt comfy and clean. Overall, I enjoyed this place quite a bit and I wouldn't mind visiting again. Shout out to Lupe & to the cook! ? ? ?

This is what they call a loaded baked potato at Lonestar Grill. They charge six bucks for and a 45 minute wait.

Third time we have tried here. First two times weren’t great but this time was the worst by far. They weren’t that busy and it took 15-20 mins to get drinks. After we got drinks couldn’t get refills. Then it took almost hour to get food and was told the kitchen was backed up even though tables who got there 20-30 mins after us all had food. The waitress forgot to enter our order and tried to blame the kitchen. The food was just okay and way over priced.

Just moved to Brenham so decided to try this place out. Got “ a little of this and a little of that” and that’s exactly what I got. No gravy for my country fried steak and a hair in my Mac and Cheese. ?

Stopped in for a late lunch after the quilt show. The food was great and the service was very attentive. We had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was tender and not heavily breaded.

Was gladly accepted with my service dog after getting kicked out from the Long Horn bar and grill. The food, service and atmosphere was warm and we will definitely be back. Recommended above all.

Excellent made from scratch food Very reasonable prices. I had the 2 pork chops, grilled with mashed potatoes and broccoli. My wife had catfish. Very good, the tarter sauce was excellent. Very good service and prompt despite being very busy. I highly recommend Lone Star Southern Grill. We will definitely come back.
