Ok, La Condesa, a hidden gem in downtown brownsville. The food is great. The portion size is as well. The breakfast specials start at $3.25 and if you want a great tasting large flour tortilla it is 75c more or you can just get the corn yortillas or toast that come with the meal. I first discovered La Condesa one early morning about 6 months aghado. I felt as if I had stepped back into a tipico Mexican "Fonda" but much more spacious, cozy ( there are cushions along the walls) and definitely a step up in class and decor.
