My husband and I made a day trip to Round Top for our anniversary. (First timers...I know...WHAT?!?!?)I came across Paw-Paw's Firehouse & Cafe while doing a Google search for places to eat with top rated reviews. It caught my eye because my grandpa was a "PawPaw", and has recently passed. So, anywhere or anything that reminds me of him, I'll try it.Y'all, the owners are the sweetest and the food is amazing. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak basket and I had the smoked turkey sandwich on a jalapeno cheddar bun. It was THE BEST turkey sandwich I've ever tasted, and I'm not a big turkey fan. You won't be disappointed. I promise! My husband said the Philly was so good as well, but next time he'll be getting a turkey sandwich. Lol!We came in as newcomers and left feeling like family. We will definitely be back again!Ps. Thank you, Paw-Paw, for letting me sign your wall on behalf of my PawPaw. He may not have served as a military man, or in a public service capacity, but he was no less important to me. It was a honor, and meant more than you'll know.❤️

What's not to like? ?2nd time in in 3 weeks...keeps getting better.Fried Catfish was amazing. Wings were fantastic. I should've asked for the House sauce earlier. So good you can sip on it.Burgers are primo.No wonder this is Asher's favorite place around. Going back soon.Richard broke out the "tape measurer" to check Railla's height ?Kid-friendliness: Very kind and humorous staff.The kids will have a blast.
We stopped by on our way back to Houston, this place was amazing! The owner was super friendly, the waitress was awesome and the food was delicious! We plan on making a day trip back soon!

Ms. Tina and Paw Paw were extremely friendly and made all of us feel right at home. These have got to be the best wings I have ever had. I was in Round Top for the antique show and stopped to eat here 3 times. The potato salad was delicious and home made. The place was not very busy and we got our food in a very timely manner. I got the mild wings and the mild Asian sauce. Everything I tasted while here was delicious. Would definitely make the drive from Houston just to eat these wings again!!!

Service was practically nonexistent. 2 different tables had to ask to be waited on (ignored). Overpriced (2 beers, 2 barbecue plates and a piece of pie was $72). Food was mediocre. Never ever again!

really friendly owner .. the place is the epitome of laid back ... waited 30minutes for food on Monday night ..ribs were great .. veggies typical .. decent for a quick meal. Probably better for lunch .
