Nice local family owned Mexican restaurant. Enjoyed the food and service. Tried a few random items and didn't get anything we didn't enjoy. Especially enjoyed their white cheese dip.
Taste amazing!!! Authentic
Cielito Lindo NEVER disappoints! It’s authentic Mexican food!
This is a fantastic local business. The food is delicious, authentic, and layered with flavor. The staff have always been really helpful. Everyone in my family can find something they love. Plus it's BYOB!
This is a tiny restaurant inside a strip mall. The place is well decorated. The host was very nice and welcoming. The service is very good. The only compliant is the place is TINY and the staff in the kitchen can get louder than the customers. We came here for a retirement party. The host of the party had arranged two months in advance this party. The group took over the restaurant and it was tight but intimate. We came right before the corona outbreak and the restaurant said they were having a hard time getting supplies for some of the food items for our gathering. This might explain their lack of organization and lack of food when all the guests arrived. Food: guacamole was just okay, but it had no flavor. The salsa was good. The chips were crunchy. There was a beef dish, but the beef had the wrong texture and was chewy. The pork dish, the pork was very tender, but also lacked flavor. The tamales were mushy. For dessert the tres leche was very dry. There are so many good Mexican restaurants in Texas. I am sad to say, I won't be coming back.
Have been going here for a few months now ,food is awesome and staff is very nice and welcoming , every time I visit it’s always a nice visit.
My gf and I love coming to this place! Delicious food and great service every single time! 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone I know!
We just found this place and love it! Super clean. Yummy, satisfying TexMex. They do not have alcohol so that makes me think it is a byob facility? Maybe call to ask. (If that's the case, sweet! Cheap beer.) The place is just well-kept and the waitress is nice. Makes me think of the quaint small-town Texas joints of my childhood. Everything is fresh. This place is now our go-to texmex restaurant.
Doesn't look like much from outside and when you walk in it is very small. Originally from Southern California where we are surrounded with authentic Mexican food. Haven't found something similar to the Mexican food back home but this place is pretty dang close to authentic Mexican food. My husband and I tried the chicken fajitas for 2 and we were very happy with our food! The taste is very good and they give you plenty for 2 people and it comes with all the sides and rice and beans. We will definitely be back and excited to try something else.
Service is quick and friendly. Food is very fresh. We had a group of 10 and were served right away. Tacos were on point. BYOB. I'd come back
(Directions: If you're facing the grocery store, go to your right and look to the left side you'll find it.) As soon as I walked inside, the atmosphere was like going from every other freaking, bland strip mall in North Austin into my favorite TexMex experiences from around the state. Small place. Windows dimmed. Workers from all walks of life on lunch break sitting at tables. Tired workers grabbing tacos. Mom with kids getting lunch. Yoga pants ladies getting...? TV tuned to sports important to someone working there but not audible. Spanish language crooners singing on the quiet radio. I have gone from an enchilada guy to a chili relleno guy when it comes to my testing restaurant dish. And this restaurant may have just opened my mind. I ordered the tradicional which was amazing. But they also have chili rellenos with olives and almonds and more. Granted, I've seen the ingredients on menus in CalMex before but never tried. This is the place I will try it first because it killed traditional. I honestly think I'll drive back there for a bag of tostada chips and a bucket of salsa. Their chips are perfect. Guacamole was FRESH!, chunky and had citrus. The Chili Relleno Tradicional had a wonderful sauce, I usually add hot sauce but this didn't need it. The cheese has a chew. Wonderful.
I've enjoyed Cielito Lindo for several years. The food is always fresh and hot. Lately I've ordered enchiladas and chose a different sauce each time and they are all yummy. Rellenos . Tonight my husband ordered pescado veracruzana and loved everything about it I recommend this restaurant that is different from typical Tex-Mex.
Very good mole. Good balance of sweet and nutty - not too spicy. Great queso. No liquor license, so you won't be getting margaritas here. Good food, though!
The food is great. Just spicy enough. Queso is made with a Monterrey cheese and is akin to Kerby Queso. Only reason not 5 stars is that they only have one server and she struggles with running the front and spends time in the back helping the kitchen for full all the online orders so service can be slow. The location is also on the small side so I can see why it seems like most of their business are takeouts.
This is a simple restaurant but the food is tasty and makes us feel like we are having lunch at the home of a typical Mexican family. The menu has a perfect option for all preferences. You need to go check it out.
Nice atmosphere and great food. Very personable wait staff. Worth a trip to try it out!
This place is super lonely and doesn't even serve authentic mexican food!.. wait to be served is still long somehow despite being empty ♂️. Taste and flavors were mild and all over the place, I won't be returning here. There is a Taco Bell across the intersection though .
We decided to branch out from our usual Tex-mex spot and this was our choice! This place is a diamond in the rough. It's a small location and a small menu. But it has so much potential! The service was great. We walked in and we're greeted and seated immediately! We were given chips, salsa, and water no longer than a minute after sitting down. The waiter was friendly and was on top of it. I ordered chicken verde enchiladas, and my boyfriend ordered fajitas. Mine entrée was mediocre, but everything else on my plate was great. The rice was fluffy and had nice flavor. The beans were great and the chicken was juicy and tasted great on its own. The fajitas were so good! They were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The tortillas were warm and soft and the toppings were fresh. Everything tasted great together. The only thing I would like to see would be a bigger menu. We will definitely be back to try more!
The food was awesome. They did have things in the menus that wasn't available. It's such a small place. Didn't mind. They did have their staples or highlighted menu items. Small and intimate location. With a rustic hacienda vibe. It was very welcoming. We were a large party and may have overwhelmed the staff so we waited a few extra minutes for things like refills. I would suggest a large party here unless you rent the whole place out for a party or dinner. Then it would be perfect. I tried the pastor tacos, nachos, guacamole, quest, and enchiladas with poblano sauce. They were all great picks.
Food was amazing and service just as good. It’s a small, quaint place so don’t let the “hole in the wall” appearance scare you away. You will not be disappointed if you want authentic Mexican food.
It's actually hard to find this place, it's hidden and there's not a lot of advertising. It is my favorite hangout now. Everything tastes fresh from the beans to the kids meal. My daughter ordered kids taquitos and it was made from scratch and I tried my best not to steal them all. The fajita plate actually had a good portion of meat --this place is different, lots of meat. I got so tired of fajitas from other places - 1 part meat to 5 parts onions and peppers. I usually get the chicken enchiladas with mole, it is always good. The rice is fluffy, not hard . It's just great. If there is one thing missing it has to be a liquor license because it would have gone nice with a margarita.
Really nice spot. Enjoyed the food and service was stellar...
Fantastic authentic Mexican food. Mole Enchiladas were amazing, best Mole sauce I’ve ever had. Great service, friendly, low key spot. True Authentic Mexican food, thank God. #beauthentic
All of the sauces were savory, fresh & delicious! The rice & charro beans were cooked to perfection. Both the shredded chicken & beef fajitas were a hit. Impeccable, friendly staff!
Whoever said this place didnt have good service must not have had our waitress. She was phenomenal. I had a question about the sauces and she brought me a sample of them all. That's great service to me. The food was delicious and I loved the guacamole.
I love this place! Staff is always friendly and food is always spectacular!
Yum! I'm glad that we tried this wonderful little restaurant! Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
Love this place. It's a hidden gem. The server is so nice and sweet. The food is amazing.
With all the great Mexican food in the area this place crashed and burned. The service was good and polite but the food was lacking flavor at every turn. The salsa, guacamole, and queso had no flavor and none of it was finished. The quesadilla, fajitas, taco soup all failed to deliver. Maybe they had a new chef because with all the great reviews, we expected to get our Mexican fix.
Small, unassuming place tucked in cedar park. Every time I walked by it was packed so we decided to give it a go. Started with the queso. When it came I had to say I was hesitant. Nothing about it looked special but it had a fantastic flavor. Definitely one of my favorites I've ever had. We also ordered the chicken fajitas and Carne Asada and loved them both. The meat for both was flavorful and tender and there was tons of it. I've heard great things about there tres leches cake but unfortunately they were out. Surprise surprise! I guess it really is that good. I'll have to get there earlier next time to try it.
This was our first time here and it was excellent! When they realized it was our first time here they brought out all of their enchilada sauces so we could try them and decide which ones we liked. The only negative was we were going to try the lamb tacos, and they were out, so we tried for the barbacoa, and they were out, so we ended up trying the carnitas, which were awesome.
authentic mexican food. great mole, great tamales. salsa is alright and the queso to, but tasted like back at home. gave 4 stars because the overall environment of the restaurant but great food.
I freak’n love this place. Always so good. I had the el Pastor taco tonight and was not disappointed, tender with tons of flavor.
We read the reviews and decided to give it a try tonight.there was no wait, we were seated right away. We ordered carne guisada. The food came out quick. Unfortunately the tortillas did not. We waited another ten minutes for them to arrive. Our waiter kept forgetting them. Once arrived they were too hot to be touched. The beams and rice were good. The guisada wasn't bad, a litte peppery but not overwhelming. The lower rating is based purely on the lack of service. Our drinks needed refills and were ignored. The waiting and continues reminders for the tortillas. When done we had to ask another waiter for our check because our waiter was sitting down talking and eating and couldn't be bothered. There were two other tables also waiting for his attention. While the food was ok, I don't see us returning again.
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I ordered enchiladas with mole sauce they were outstanding. The rice and beans so delicious. Everything was loaded with taste and memorable. We had queso to start. The chips were so hot and crispy and the queso so good. Best ever. Someone in my party ordered chicken enchilada suisa. They looked so good and got rave reviews from my friend. Thats what I will order next time. Our dinner came quickly and the server was excellent. They sure do have an outstanding cook. If you go you are in for a treat.
Very disappointed they don’t open on time. It’s been twice on different occasions where we are waiting on a Sunday @ 11am along with other cars outside and no one shows up to open the restaurant!!! Never again!!!!
I got the hanger steak and enchiladas and it was incredible. My wife had beef tacos and said the were fantastic. The house made guacamole was also great. We will be back. The best chips of any place I've been.
Great food and great service! I am not by means any expert on Mexican cuisine but I know what I like and this fit the bill not to mention that it is close by our house. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for good Mexican food to come here.
My girlfriends & I were visiting the area from San Antonio. We were pleasantly surprised with this little gem. The food was delicious & the environment was so warm & welcoming. The waitress was very attentive & Roxanne was very friendly & went over & beyond to accommodate us. If you haven't tried Cielito Lindo's...:.do it!!
1) It's BYOB. 2) It's BYOB. 3) All 5 of us had something different and it was all awesome. 4) The seasoning in the ground beef was outstanding. 5) Did I mention it is BYOB? That's how 5 of us got out of there for well under $60. It's a small place, so call ahead if you need a place for more than 4 people, 5 at most.
