Have not been to this Mexican version of Fast Food since they occupied the old Jack in the Box building in Cedar Park! It was actually good then! Nice place, clean, set up relatively well, BUT..... I ordered the half chicken plate that comes with your choice of refried beans, sweet plantains, charro beans, or rice! I barely told her what I wanted and it was already on a tray in front of me, and she never even asked what sides I wanted, she just brought out the pre-portioned containerized rice and charro beans. There was something wrapped in white butcher paper, which turned out to be my half chicken! Went to get my DP... no CO²! They did fix that! Ok, here we go.... Unwrapped my "Pollo" package and it looked great! Honestly, the flavor was great, HOWEVER, it was very obvious that this bird has been cooked and packaged much earlier in the day or even from the day before. Not to mention the bird must have been a juvenile, because the drumstick was about the size of a Wingstop wing drum! The entire "1/2" chicken was about as much meat as a normal sized breast anywhere else! The beans were tasty, but undercooked, as some were still a bit hard! The rice was dry as a bone! I expressed my concern about the food NOT being fresh and was offered a refund, but I declined! I told her I came here for good fresh food and that I was very hungry and I was pretty much just disgusted with the whole deal and to keep your money! This is where American and Mexican culture collide! This is all normal to people from Mexico, but for $14, NOT ANY AMERICAN!

Went through drive-through. Purchased Carne Asada. $23.80 meat was hard and dry could not even eat. I cannot believe they would serve this.

Some of my favorite chicken in the area. Has a great flavor and is never dry. Match it with the green sauce and it is really a wonderful dish. The beans and plantains are my go-to sides. They don't have a ton of choices, but they specialize on what they have, and it is great.

I love fries but not the season salt so I get it with out I have had the whole chicken rice and beans so good and it comes with a whole grilled onion and corn tortilla and green salsa the Rico bowl with extra sour cream I had with beefsteak if good the Mexican burger is good but it’s ok with ham chiles and the regular stuff they have. Normal burger they sale half’s of chicken also fast orders the drive threw is a bit long sometimes but it’s worth the wait you do have to pay for extra creamKid-friendliness: Booster seats and deserts like cakes arroz con leche aka rice milk horchata agua FrescaWheelchair accessibility: Yes parking in the front and low tables
I've eaten food from other El Pollo Rico locations so I expected this to be just as good. It's fast chicken. Not as good though Place was not clean. Service was so so.
