Takara has become our go to sushi spot. We used to frequent another sushi restaurant in CP, but the ridiculous wait times sent us searching for another place and that was a good thing as Takara is the superior choice! The sashimi is fresh. The gyoza soup is perfect. In short, everything we've tried has been excellent. And their reservation setup is MUCH friendlier. Highly recommended!Service is prompt, but they could be a little more welcoming. Sometimes it seems they are preoccupied. Price point is fair as the quality is top notch.

My daughter and I stopped by for lunch after a recent visit to Cedar Park. They were pretty busy and seemed short staffed. We sat for a long time before we were ever greeted. When we finally were greeted, the waitress was nice and stayed on top of everything. The prices were higher than the cost of other comparable restaurants, but the portion size and quality lived up. I didn’t care for the sweet and sour soup, but that might just be a personal choice, I can’t remember ever ordering it before. I normally eat miso, egg drop or wonton. My daughters dish came with miso soup, and I ended up eating it. It was really good. She ordered the two for $12 sushi rolls and enjoyed both of her Philadelphia rolls with imitation crab. I order combination fried rice and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. You could tell that it wasn’t your run of the mill frozen peas and carrots. These were tiny cut up carrots that tasted fresh.I was disappointed that they didn’t have hot mustard or crab puffs, but the portion size was so large that we didn’t end up needing an appetizer to fill us up. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and would definitely eat here again.

Love the vibe and atmosphere. Really nice and helpful service. The food is the bomb. It's a nice, classy place and I would happily eat there every day if I was rich and famous.Try out Q-rolls. It's cucumber instead of seaweed and rice, and then crab meat and avacado in the middle.Simple but really good. And only 14 bucks for a big plate.

The restaurant decor is nice but the Menu is nothing to brag about. The Sushi is mediocre, fish, snow crab eel, albacore not fresh and dry. For the prices they charge per piece of Nigiri, there are far better sushi restaurants in the vicinity.Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Nice ambiance with smooth jazz playing in the background. It was initially slow around 430p on Friday but quickly go busy. Our waitress, Anna, was very attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was very good. I ordered the Bokum dish. The dish was drowning in sauce which I dislike. However, overall it was a pleasant experience: I’ll skip the saucy dishes next time. Oh! Take a jacket! It was freezing in there!

By far the best in Cedar Park. Great food and prices. My wife hates sushi but loves this place. The only negative is sometimes you have to wait a bit at lunch. But I get it, everyone loves this place.

Great place for sushi! I ordered takeout and had a great experience, but it’s also a really nice atmosphere to dine in. Everything I ordered was delicious (I recommend the unagi). The one minor drawback was that some of their menu items were pricier than I’ve seen at other local sushi restaurants.

Beautiful presentation and quality of sushi. We ordered the dream boat.

My wife had the sushi there one night. She liked it so much we had lunch there the next day. She was pleased once again. I had the hot and sour soup and and the oven baked scallop risotto. Both were terrific. The setting is upscale and tastefully done. My wife has several food sensitivities. They have a separate gluten free menu and our server, Linda (I think) was very nice, responsive, professional and knowledgable about the menu. We will be back.

Fresh sushi with a gluten free menu. Dining area is clean with a modern decor. Service can be a bit slow. But we’ll be ordering take out from now on due to Omicron. The take out experience was excellent.

EXCELLENT Food!!! Perfect Tempura Shrimp and vegetables. Fantastic KOREAN BULGOGI - prime ribeye intensely marinated in a sesame-soy ginger dressing, thinly sliced and char-grilled. Both come with large scoop of steamed rice and small portion of salad greens with Japanese dressing. Avocodo & Salmon Roll was excellent. Salmon very fresh and tender. My Hot & Sour Soup was best I have had in Texas and better than most I have had in California - caution-it might be a bit spicy-hot for some people. Hot Sake was good too. Downside - the service was only average, not bad or rude, just not up to quality of the food. If not careful it can be expensive, but ordering off LUNCH menu ours was reasonable with nice sized portions. Tempura - $15; Korean Bulgogi $14, Salmon & Avocado Roll $6, Sake - $7 Facility was clean and has "fresh", pleasant appearance and comfortable seating. HIGHLY Recommend. We will be returning.

This is a fine place to go for good sushi in the area. The ingredients are quite fresh, a big plus; and the staff are friendly, if seeming a little overworked at times. The recipes are a little off, which might suit your fancy but left me frequently disappointed. Occasionally the portions seem skimpy for the price, in favor of the (admittedly gorgeous) presentation. Three stars is a good review from me so go ahead and try Takara! But it is not a destination spot
