Pretty decent food for the price. Ordered my food to go, but the experience was still great. The worker was a nice enough young man and the process of paying for and getting my order was very efficient.

6 Stars – A Must-Visit in College Station!
Fat Daddy’s did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing—friendly, fast, and super attentive. Our food came out quickly, was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Our server, Amber, was amazing!! Very attentive, courteous and an amazing bar tender. The prices were more than fair, and the drinks hit the spot. Whether you’re local or just passing through, this place is definitely worth a stop. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in College Station. Don’t sleep on it—go try Fat Daddy’s!

Service was great but the food was horrible. Locals seem to love it but I hated it. All the food came out cold, the gumbo tasted like it was from a can. My fish reminded me of fish sticks. Wasted our money, I'm happy the prices were cheap compared to dining in California.

Great location, nice and clean inside. Service was very good. We were seated immediately. Manager stopped by at one point to say hello. We were not ignored, and our wants/needs were met. The wait for our food and drinks to come out was not long. My only complaint is that I was not super impressed with the food. Shrimp was very overcooked and rubbery. We ordered scallops and as you can see in the picture, we only got 2. I was not okay with that but the one bite I got did taste good. The rest of the food was cooked correctly, served hot but the flavor was not really that great. My husband got fish with a crawfish sauce. It was pretty good. He got a cup of gumbo, and it was definitely pre-made. I always can tell if food is from the Sysco truck lol. I probably won't go back since there are so many other options in College Station.

Fish Daddies is our favorite restaurant in Bryan-College Station. The food and service is always very good and they offer everything at a reasonable price! I hope you never change the recipe you have developed for success! Thanks!

A little background I eat here often I will drive an hour out of my way leaving Houston going back to Dallas to eat here I have watched it slowly decline recently to the point that I feel a review is very much warranted now.

There was always comfort in knowing you had your go-to spot on your way home after a long day of driving That's no longer the case for me My go-to spot is dead.

I always order the same thing The fish tacos the salad and today the fish tacos should have been called cabbage and cheese tacos because there was no fish whatsoever it was terrible and the tortillas were soggy. I unrolled the first one to find absolutely zero fish I could not believe it So I decided to unroll the second one in front of my waiter which had a little tiny piece of fish in it brought it to her attention she said if I bring you some more fish will that satisfy you and I said yes bring me some fish and I can make my own fish tacos well probably 15 minutes later the manager person comes over and says I understand there's a problem and I explain to her and showed her the tacos with no fish and she acknowledged yes there is no fish in these tacos and she said I've been told you would like some fish and I said yes I think that is more than warranted at this point she then proceeds to tell me I can do that but I'm going to have to charge you for the fish.... I'm trying to register what I'm hearing in my brain to make sense out of it ....you just acknowledged I have no fish in my fish tacos and yet you want to charge me more money to put fish in my fish tacos ARE YOU SERIOUS! I informed her no thank you I would not like to pay for fish for my fish tacos and told her to have a good evening, she actually replied you too sir and walked away.

I had to order the ribs cuz I was hungry which are mediocre but soaking in a pretty good sauce to help pull them thru to where they're at least edible.

So $55 later with tip and I've had some ribs and I got a plate full of empty non-fish fish tacos as you can see in the pictures

Is this review going to make you not stop and eat I'm not sure at least you should be aware of the situation and what's interesting is now that I'm reading other reviews I see other people are complaining about lack of fish as well and where did the meal go and what happened to this place So obviously it's trending in the wrong direction and management as demonstrated tonight could care less!!!! They could have simply taken care of this very easily after acknowledging there's no fish in the fish tacos but they decided to do the exact opposite and lose another client as far as I'm concerned and I've taken several large groups in here and spent a lot of money here over the years and they will no longer have access to my funds.

We eat here weekly and the food / service is usually excellent

Today we both ordered plates that included grilled shrimp and they all were inedible, tasted like they had gone bad

We alerted the waiter, he took our plates, then went to speak to the manager. The waiter came back and stated that the shrimp all come from the same place, and that the grilled shrimp must have been fine since we ate the fried shrimp. No apology, no offer to make a different dish, etc.

Laughably bad handling of a situation with an easy and obvious resolution; the rotten flavor was exceeded only by the rotten service.

Fish Daddy’s Grill House in College Station is hands down one of our new go-to spots! I had the Hawaiian chicken — perfectly grilled and full of flavor. My wife ordered the fish and chips and said it was the best she’s ever had (and she doesn’t say that lightly). Our daughter got the catfish basket and rated it a solid 8 out of 10 — not bad at all!

Shelby was our server and she was fantastic. Super attentive, kept our drinks full, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering.

The atmosphere is laid-back and family-friendly — a great place to wind down after church on a Sunday. We’ll definitely be back soon!
