Went there after reading reviews. Arrived in CC n went straight there not knowing what to expect. From the minute we walked in everyone was so friendly n welcoming. Ordered appetizers n our food. Decent wait time. We were drooling as we looked arround at everyones food. Food did nit disappoint. Two of us had fish n shrimp n the other had the blackened chicken sandwich. ALL was so good. Even customers next to us were super friendly. Must go!

Great food, price and wait-staff at Black Diamond! Sure, you could pay double the price at Water Street, but why? I don't consider ambiance part of the reason for having Great Seafood! (I actually fell in love at Black Diamond)

Been here. Done that. And will continue to do it again. Not once has this spot failed me. Food. Service. Ambiance. All always great! Apparently Friday evenings include live entertainment too! What a night to enjoy (whispers: and they do military discounts too)

This was our first time going and we were welcomed with smiles and seated right away! We got the Tuna Nachos and Macho Nachos and we NOTH cleaned our plates. Our waitress was fast and always kept our glasses full. We will be back!

Jon, our server, was excellent and cheerful. I enjoyed a delicious shrimp and crab dish, followed by a satisfying shrimp sandwich. The food was great, and the price was only $20 before tipping. I recommend trying this place if you get the chance. It has a relaxed atmosphere, so no need to dress up.

From the outside, Black Diamond looks like a local hole in the wall. Once inside, we were greeted by a server who welcomed everyone with a smile and worked with a hustle. I absolutely loved the Shrimp and Crab Queso. It was so good. I enjoyed the mix of oysters, yet Rockefeller and New Orleans were my favorite. Everyone ordered and enjoyed the Crab Stuffed Fish, and I loved mine with a side of fries and a house salad. We couldn't believe how large and fresh the kid's portion of fried fish was on the plate. It could have been an adult portion. While we were asked about dessert, we were as stuffed as our fish. While the oysters could have been better cleaned of the grit, we loved the food overall.

This tucked a way seafood place is great. They have fresh seafood grilled or fried. The oyster trio was full flavored and on point. The fried fish and shrimp had just enough batter to make it crispy and not overwhelming. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce I could’ve ate with a spoon it was so good. Customer service was exceptional. You will not go wrong with anything on the menu.

A great little place to enjoy a oyster sandwich on a sourdough bun and hand cut fries with homemade tarter sauce. The service was great too! I will have to return to try something else on the menu.Update on September 30, 2022 we tried this place again. We asked for outside seating, they sat us at the bar saying they had no table seats available. However it was visible that there were at least two tables. The bartender was gave great service! I didn’t like the special, spicy shrimp (6) with two sides. The shrimp were small and not spicy! The we ordered the trio oysters platter. Be aware there is no price. It was a dozen of oysters fixed three ways, Rockefeller, Roberts and New Orleans. They were great tasting but very little oysters and we paid over $30 for them. We will definitely not order that again if we decide to try the place again. I will recommend the lemon drop shot. It was not tart, but tasted like a lemon drop in your mouth after the first layer is gone.

It was a day trip to Corpus Christi to visit with our nephew, Luke, who's a student @tamu. Dad's never been so an adventure ahead. We had lunch @blackdiamondoysterbar, established in 1968. We all shared the dozen oysters and gator bites. Luke had the Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the Fried Shrimp and Oysters with rice pilaf, salad and a cup of gumbo. Dad and I shared the Crab Stuffed Fish with rice pilaf and a cup of the crawfish bisque. The bisque reminded me of New England clam chowder. We all shared the Key Lime Pie, which was a great ending. Everything was fresh and delicious! Jonathan took good care of us during the entire meal.

Hotel/beach close by, needed food in a beach coverup. No time to dress for dinner. Stuffed fish with crab was tasty. Boudin balls were tasty too. Some acoustic guitar on the back porch and the house was rockin' . wen back sunday and grabbed a burger and more boudin balls. Lotsa drinkin' going on too. All good fun.

Nice patio (with music) and very friendly staff, but food is just ok. Actually surprised by the high reviews. Salad was just iceberg lettuce and shrimp tasted like cleaning solution (like they were prepped on a surface that had just been cleaned).

The Oyster Trio appetizer was delicious. The gulf shrimp tasted right out of the gulf, fresh and tasty. Our server Beatriz was wonderful.

Pretty good food for pretty okay prices. The bartender Jon was super nice but he was very busy and didn’t get to check on us much. Oysters were bomb and I would come here again if I’m ever in town. The wait is kind of long but just make sure to come early.

Good food and service. The place is small, but setup so that it’s not crowded. We had some oysters on the half shell and they were great. We also had fried shrimp and oysters, it was good. I’m not sure if the shrimp were the frozen type, but they were fine either way. Good tarter and red sauce, fries and slaw good as well.
