I bought 2 jalapeño kolaches then when I pay half a dollar coins for $5.40 the manager which is IDIOT can not accept the coins because they are losing money and most customers paying or using that coins. There is no such things in this world they are "LOSING MONEY" because its consider money. I forgot to get the manager name but I will talk to the owner of Shipleys donut. This is not fine at all. I ended up giving it back the Kolaches. I don't recommend this location in Roddfield. Staff so mean and never smiles. The owner need to address this to her/his employee.

I'm not going to say they have the best donuts (better than East coast donuts , not as good as a California mom and pop shop) what I can say is kolaches from Shipleys is a Texas tradition. Bought kolaches for 30 people and they ate them all. Fast service, middling looking shop.

Great service. Why cant anyone make a proper bear claw? It has walnuts . Goey. Looks like a bear claw. Apple fritter is not the same!!

The donuts are good but the Kolaches are always disappointing. I have been to other shipley’s out of town and their bread is soft and fluffy and the sausage is juicy and flavorful. Every time we try to give them another chance, the koloches are hard and the sausages look over cooked, shriveled and dried out. The cheese is also very light and almost not even there.I would recommend going for the donuts and donut holes but definitely skip the koloches.

This location seems to have gone down hill a bit. Always loved it before. I grew up on Shipley donuts and kolaches. The best thing was they were always fresh. Now, it seems like every time I visit the koalches are always old. What a shame. The folks working are always very pleasant though.
