Very loud. Tables were very close together. Luckily we were able to get a table away from the crowded part of the restaurant, but we're near the kitchen. Sensory overload with dishes and people. I enjoyed the Addison restaurant's ambiance a lot more. This was an anniversary dinner. Overall we enjoyed it.

We had a delightful time at Hudson House yesterday during happy hour. Our gathering, arranged to meet with fellow moms from my son's preschool, was a success. We all found our time there to be quite enjoyable and left with a desire to explore more of their menu offerings. Regrettably, due to time constraints, we were only able to sample a couple of appetizers—the popcorn shrimp and avocado dip—but we're eager to return for a more extensive culinary adventure. Having visited Hudson House previously and savored their entrees, I can attest to their deliciousness. The allure of the happy hour specials, particularly the half-off select drinks, was undeniable, and we certainly plan to make a repeat visit to indulge in more of their offerings. However, one aspect that slightly detracted from our experience was the feeling of being rushed towards the end. Despite our two-hour stay, we were mindful of the reservation policy urging patrons not to exceed 1 1/2 hours at their tables. Nevertheless, we were surprised when my friend's water was swiftly cleared away, even though we had settled our bill and were clearly preparing to depart (our purses were in our laps). Despite this minor hiccup, our overall experience was fantastic. Hudson House delivered on its promise of a welcoming atmosphere and enticing culinary offerings, leaving us eager to return for another round of enjoyment.

Great neighborhood hangout. Busy for brunch on the weekend, definitely need reservations but we weren't rushed after we were seated, the eggs Benedict were tasty, and love the French press coffee.

I have been coming to Hudson house pretty much ever since it opened, and it just seems like the prices keep going up and up, where it just does not make sense for us to come anymore. My friend got a hamburger and asked for truffle fries instead of the regular fries and got charged the full $11, without the waiter letting her know the up charge. She also wanted a cup of coffee and he brought the entire French press and charged her the full amount (and was unable to take any to go bc they didn't have to go cups). The French chicken dish I got was good but it seems like the portions have gone down and price has gone up. All that to say, if prices continue to be where they are it, it does not make sense to come to spend upwards of $25 on just a burger and fries.

Highly recommend this place if you want some quality oysters! This is one of the few places in the South where they label and categorize where the oysters are from and their flavor, so you can tell this place will have some great oysters! If you’re a bit thirsty, I would recommend their Bellini, has a bit of a nice kick!Vegetarian options: Salad options as well as sides and appetizersParking: It’s in a plaza so plenty of parking aroundKid-friendliness: Kids welcome

Busy day and it was raining so I think customers lingered for a while. We were early but seated pretty promptly because we've learned reserving a table is best. Server was great but she was very busy, so lunch was just a bit longer arriving to table than normal. We don't go there for a quick meal though, we like to sit and enjoy our wine and oysters appetizer so ultimately we were happy. The only thing that was cold were the fries but we ate them anyway. It's still our favorite location and right now our top 2 restaurants.

The food and drinks were amazing. Wait staff was top tier, I would return for that alone. Our waiter Chris was a hoot and we enjoyed everything he recommended. Will definitely be back.

The noise level was awful. Just two of us and we could barely hear each other. I asked for my salmon cooked medium and it came out well done. Our waiter started off great and then disappeared. Never came back to check if our meal was okay. Definitely won't go back.

My little usual go to and when I have dined here alone or with my boyfriend we have not had issues. Today there were issues! The waitress didn’t even bring silverware to the table and just a wait to have her come by… could it possibly be discrimination ? Asked to leave our table and to sit at the bar… i ordered a seared tuna salad to go…what if I had changed my mind and decided to eat at the table after I had 2 martinis and a 1/2 of cheeseburger that was messed up! Martin’s half full! Your manger Rita is rude asking us to leave when you had so many other tables open in your restaurant! If your server was stressed and wanted to be cut then that’s on the management of the restaurant and not in the guests best interest! You have a horrible manager Rita who walked by the table numerous times and the only time she asked us about our service was when it was Convenient for the restaurant to move us to the bar area! Hey Rita can you get a better belt and look less Disheveled if you’re a manger? You were so rude and inappropriate! I’m sure you were being discriminatory! Sorry we weren’t white but I tipped your waitress nicely! My seared tuna salad only had 4 bites of seared tuna!!! Wow skimpy on the portions! Save your money got to the finch! This place is lame, small portions and they discriminate! Please don’t bother with this mediocre racist place! Go to the finch service, food and drinks are better and they are not racist!

Loved everything about Hudson House except the acoustics was so loud had a hard time hearing folks at our table. Energetic is one thing but not so loud conversations are challenging.

Food is usually good here but it’s hard to get a table. We showed up early to get our name on the list (45min wait) while we got a beer down the street. We got a call and text message that our table was ready and that if we didn’t reply back within 15 minutes that they would give the table away.We texted back within a few minutes that we would be there we and showed up within the allotted time only find out that our table was given away! The hostess was rude about the situation, lied about how she called earlier than the message and argued about how we missed our 15 minute window. After some discussion, she promised that we’d be next on the list but then we saw other people on the waitlist get a notification to come for a table first. We’ve generally had extremely good service here, but this situation has been appalling. You can’t put people on the waitlist, call them up, and expect them to be there within 1 min. Give the same grace to people that have reservations, and allow them time to travel back to the destination. This is probably the last time we come to this location due to the extremely poor service and off putting manner in which this was handled. For those reading this, plan to wait onsite. If you do choose to do any other thing than wait outside on the one bench provided, definitely be sure to get there within less time than they tell you that they’re giving you to get there before the table gets given away. When we got sat, we ordered, and then ultimately ended up with our entrees before our appetizer oysters, silverware, or drinks. To the credit of our server they took care of the experience with a credit on the bill. But after being longtime patrons of this establishment, it’s obvious they’re more interested in booking as many customers per night as possible and rushing people through their dinner than delivering a quality experience. The entire night was chaotic and hectic, staff and customers alike.Once a Dallas gem, Hudson House has become another commodity working to do only one thing, bolster its bottom line. At this time, there are far better places to go for a nice night out with your SO for the same price.

I didn't realize until I got home that tho we were there during happy hour, we were not given happy hour prices. In addition, the waiter said, “I understand you are celebrating a birthday” and proceeded to give the dessert options. We were charged for the dessert. Please don't act like it's on the house and then charge us. I felt like we were taken advantage of. Not happy about it.

An excellent choice for a couple or groups as this is a very comfortable restaurant with fun, unobtrusive music. The three of us ordered different lunch items - lobster roll, cheeseburger, and the Hudson salad plus choc dessert. Everything was delicious, sizable portions also. Would highly recommend this comfortable, well staffed restaurant. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive.
