Raw bar was star of the meal. Lemon Frito Misto lacked lemon and consisted of indistinguishable seafood lumped together in a tempura batter. Fish and chips was beyond disappointing. Establishment in a renovated IHOP did not reflect a great renovation. Felt like eating in an IHOP. Absolutely no way was it operating at 50% capacity. More like 90% and NO patrons wearing masks. Will not return!
Delicious! We will absolutely be back again soon.
Went during happy hour at 3 on a Saturday. Oysters were yummy and tasted fresh. Also had the burger, Truffle parm fries and lobster roll which were good as well. Enjoyed their martinis too. Great service. We will be back!
Had a great experience at this location! Made a reservation, food and service was incredible.
I have tried this location several times since they opened in Lakewood. Twice for happy hour and once for dinner. The service was AMAZING, and the drinks & food were incredible! They are taking all the CDC guidelines very seriously, and being very cautious of the amount of people they are letting sit at the bar and at the tables. I can't imagine how difficult it is to open a restaurant during Covid and they are handling it with true class. I'm so glad this is in the neighborhood! It's a TRUE gem!!!! Highly recommend and suggest getting reservations beforehand. Shout out to David, I have had him wait on me twice and he's the best. :-)
So this place just opened up in Lakewood. I'd been excited for months to dine here. I'd even told friends about it before coming. I've never had such a terrible dining experience...I made reservations for my wife's birthday thinking that this was a typical upscale restaurant. I'd previously indicated that it was my wife's birthday on our reservation. As we received our check with no acknowledgment of the occasion, I thought maybe they had forgotten. My wife went to the bathroom, so I approached the hostess and reminded them that we were dining here in celebration of my wife's birthday, assuming they's at least provide a piece of key lime pie with candle in it. Instead, a manager came to our table and stated that they were not allowed to celebrate customer's birthday's. He offered nothing else. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, avoid this place at all costs. If you are looking to spend a lot of money on a sub par experience, then this place is for you.
Terrible service the last two times I’ve come in. Their website said walk in available and we said we’d wait - both times the hostess was SO RUDE and wouldn’t let us sit at the open bar. Then the manager came over and said we weren’t allowed to walk in and get a table. I love how they won’t take walk ins but NONE of the tables were 6 feet apart both times we’ve tried it. They had people next to each other and it made absolutely no sense.
Really enjoyed my experience at Hudson House! The food was great. I had the lemon fritto misto as an appetizer and the Redfish with dynamite sauce for dinner. It really hit the spot and the food was pretty flavorful. I would definitely come back again.
I went to Hudsin House for the first time. The decor was nice and the place was clean. I did enjoy the avocado dip and the flavored iced tea. The wait staff was very courteous. However, that was about it. My fish and chips were more like three small fish slices, heavily battered (more like something you would get in the frozen food section, but for 5x the price) on a huge pile of shoe string fries. And, I am not sure they received the memo about social distancing. They were practically seating every table right next to each other. I know they are opening at a very difficult time. But it will be a while before I go back.
So happy to have one of Dallas best restaurants in East Dallas! Been a couple times already and it’s been amazing! From the shrimp scampi to the lobster roll, nothing has disappointed. Key lime pie is next level as well!
So glad they opened the new location. The food was delicious and our waiter Jordan did a wonderful job helping us. Cant wait to come back.
Excellent Lakewood version of a Dallas staple.
My wife and I came to the soft opening tonight and it was amazing! We sat at the bar and the bar crew, Eddie, V, Rachel and Jordan did a great job serving us! The food is fantastic and the service is top notch. We will be back all the time!Ethan and Lauren Beasley
Attempted to have drinks here at 5:30pm. Not a single person at the bar and only 5 tables occupied. We were rejected as non VIPs. Too bad, so many positive experiences on Lovers Lane. Best of luck.
