Made reservations on a Friday night. It says it's open on google and the restaurant is closed down.

Went for Sunday brunch and their egg quiche was amazing. And their blueberry pancake is really good. I love the music they played and staff is nice. Whoever did their interior decorations and the layout did a great job. Like their flooring. Random but just overall like this place. I'm sure I'll return for that deviled egg they didn't have available when I went.

Cute looking place, but painfully and unforgivably slow service. It took about 20min to get my first drink. In fact, drinks were brought out one by one for our table of 5, which made it feel even longer, as the rest of the table sits there waiting for the last person to get theirs so they can finally toast and take a sip. Food was pretty mediocre and overpriced. The whole experience was just off, and weird - luckily we were all able to just laugh at it and enjoy each other's company. Definitely wouldn't come back though.

Loved my first experience here at Merchant House! There were a few birthday celebrations going on when we arrived so we quickly found a few seats at the bar! Our service was outstanding! Our bartender kept us laughing and bringing us the most well thought out drinks possibly known to man! Truly, our bartender reminded me of a talented mixologist! There's several options to sit upstairs, downstairs, or on the side of the restaurant! Food is spectacular! You can order in or place a togo order for brunch, lunch, or dinner! Please ensure to check the hours of operation before you go and also I encourage you to make a reservation! They played some good hip hop and we jammed out! My order was perfect...French toast, eggs, bacon, and hot syrup! For I'll be back to try more of their delicious menu items! Tell the next time, happy eating!

I was initially heading to the BBQ joint across the street, but they seemed closed or at least not offering on premises dining in the evening. Service was excellent and the outdoor patio was stared with only 2 other diners. Refills very timely, as was checking on my dining progress. Food: I had the fish and chips and it was very good. Also had the soup, which was a great starter. Overall: A solid place, menu was limited, but decent options for any diner. Parking in the back is a nice plus in the area.

This place has become one of our favorite spots to visit. The building, it’s vibe and the array of different seating rooms and areas are really neat. We literally only have to walk 1 block to get to it so it’s totally convenient. The staff has always been super nice. The manager Alejandro is always extremely polite and always takes the time to stop and visit and talk with us when we visit. Our last visit was for their Thanksgiving Dinner and it was such a fun time and the food was so good! Totally recommend this place.

Nice place, nice atmosphere, however, service was poor. Not sure if it was because we were such a large party or not. The waitress accidentally spilled drinks on my wife and the manager was not very understanding or accommodating. The food took a long time to come out and some of the orders were wrong and the manager was not accommodating at all. Was not satisfied with the service at all.

Beautiful interior, friendly staff. Miga's were good, but greasier than usual. The carafe was a bad pour compared to other tables. One order at the table was incorrect but quickly corrected. I didn't feel rushed, but food was ready within 5 minutes. I might try it for dinner but brunch was a bust.

Love the lamb appetizer. Love how the seatings are all different and the service was nice. Overall nice experience over there. :)

Typical Oak Lawn eatery. More concerned about “cuteness“. And nothing really special about it. The service can best be described as horrendous. Couldn’t cut it at the better restaurants in town. Waited 10 minutes, after ordering and had to ask twice for a cocktail. Did not bring the artichokes as ordered. I do give it 10 stars for eye Candy. 80% women on a Saturday night. Didn’t hate it, probably won’t be going back. They won’t miss me.

So happy to have this place a few blocks away, it is such a surprise! The aesthetic of this place is really fun and inviting, and the food and service are amazing. Always fantastic service with a smile, and the food has not disappointed a single time. Desperately want to become regulars! Never had to wait longer than 2 minutes to be seated, and their terrace is beautiful! Totally underrated spot, I secretly want it to stay like this for my benefit but everyone should try! Give the pineapple mimosa a chance ;)

Loved the vibe of this place!! We had an awesome waitress who was very attentive and made our time there exciting. They even let us sit upstairs when we asked. So awesome! I would love to go back and sit on the balcony upstairs on a cool day. The food was good. The eggs Benny was a little salty but still yummy. We ordered drinks too. Great brunch spot!! :)

Brunch here is one of my favorites!! I've been pre-Covid and during Covid, and both times the service was amazing, food and drinks were to die for, and second tome they did a great job of social distancing. If you are looking for a nice place with amazing food, definitely go here!
