I've been to most of the higher end restaurants in Dallas and surrounding areas. This has got to take my #1 now. From the moment me and my 17 year old daughter and I walked in, we were treated very well. At first, we were seated in the main dining area.My daughter has some sensory issues. And it was quite loud in there nothing out of the ordinary for a busy place. But it was too much for her. The waiter immediately moved us into a very private type room.Everything we ate was better than the same dishes anywhere else.My daughter loves steak tartar, I'm not a big fan but the state tartar there was absolutely amazing. It's also one of the few restaurants in the US that actually has true Kobe. And it does live up to the hype.If there was a way to put more five stars I would because it's more like a hundred stars out of five

Exceeded all of my expectations. A friend and I had reservations for a Monday night at 7:00. The restaurant was mostly full, the atmosphere was upscale, the lights were low and we were seated immediately. We were sat close to the wonderful piano player, entertaining the patrons and were able to see a lot of the hustle and bustle behind the kitchen counter. The first item we ordered were Martinis, The Barbie and the Cotton Candy. The presentation on both martinis was fun and the drinks themselves were sweet and delicious. Next we enjoyed the Caviar Sample Plate and Park Cities Sushi Roll. The sushi was extremely fresh, the shrimp was crispy and all of the sauces were well proportioned. The caviar and crackers were fishy, salty, and moist, accompanied with crunchy crackers to enjoy the multiple flavors. Our main meal (we shared the steak) was a 26oz Porterhouse, cooked to a beautiful red/pink medium rare. The steak is cut for you at the table and served hot and fresh. Our sides were the au gratin potatoes and the brussels sprouts. The Potatoes were creamy, cheesy and warm, the brussels sprouts were just the right consistency of roasted yet faintly soft, the pieces of pork belly and the chili sauce were wonderful. We ended our amazing dinner with the 7 layer Celebration Cake and of course added the Cotton Candy! I do not have a single complaint nor would I change a thing. The service was top notch. Absolutely treat yourself to a meal at Nick and Sam's.

Went for dinner and everything about it was so amazing. We always ask for Freddie as our server and he makes the dinner experience even better. We ordered their aged NY strip and it was the best steak I have had in a long while. We will definitely go back…. Often.

Extraordinary food, especially the apps. Of course the steak cut like butter and was delicious. And drinks were well balanced and the wait team kept us refreshed the whole time. Great place to hang out and enjoy a fine meal!

Within weeks of my own, me and friends celebrated the birthday of one of my close girlfriends. She chose to celebrate at the infamous, Nick and Sam’s in Dallas.Parking was a breeze as it was valet only. The restaurant itself was quite traditionally dark as many steakhouses are. The tables were extremely close so it meant talking quite loudly in order to converse with your group or the person next to you.I ordered the Seabass as I often do, and was not terribly impressed with neither the portion or taste. I won’t say it was bad, but it was not special. What was special, was the beautiful birthday dessert. There’s something to be said for this colorful tower of a cake that included rainbow ice cream and cotton candy. Yep, cotton candy! There were 10 of us and I fully expected that we would split the bill but the restaurant would only take one credit card so we had to settle up privately. I did not like this at all but that may be a personal preference.Nice restaurant but not great.

If you are looking for a quite intimate setting, this is not the place. It is loud and crowded. However, the food is great. I just don't like how loud it is. I prefer places like "Texas" as the food as is just as good if not better, but the atmosphere is way superior.

This may be partially my fault for not researching the restaurant more, but the environment was not what thought it would be. It could be this was not the norm, but sounded and felt more like a nice evening club. The food looked amazing and the service was great, but everyone was yelling at the top of their lungs at the tables and I could barely hear the waiter.

What an experience, we have eaten at many great steak places, however this place is at another level of both service and food. Service was outstanding, both professional and friendly at the same time. Steak was incredible but the star was the King Crab my wife had. She did the 2 leg option as the entire 7 1/2 lb king crab was a bit much to tackle for 2. Treat yourself to an experience you will not have anyplace else. Yes the place is loud, but it's just a part of this place. It doesn't detract from you having a wonderful meal.
I hate to leave Nick & Sams a bad review but after coming here for years, it’s just not what it used to be. I’d say the food is overrated at this point. I think the servers do the best they can with the crowd and overall lack of space in such a packed environment, bless their hearts. But for the price, this ain’t it.

Had a reservation for 7:30, arrived at 7:25, While we were waiting to be seated, around 7:45, we asked the hostess for an update, and she told us we would be seated next, but then saw multiple parties be seated before us. This wouldn't have been an issue if she hadn't told us that we would be next. We were not seated until 8:05, the table we were placed at was practically in the kitchen. When we asked if we could move, we were told by the rude manager that we could go stand for another 30 minutes and then get a different table. The manager then walked us to the exit like we were common criminals. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Its the wait time for the table. They skipped over me. It was super crowded. The valet service has had me waiting and brought others their car before me. It was my birthday and although it wasn't the best at times last night, it is a great place. They should probably think of expanding. Our server gets 10 stars. He was amazing!!!

I have dined here multiple times and with the exception of never being seated on time(usually 20-30 minutes after my reservation time) the food and service have always been great. Unfortunately last night we did not even stay to eat. We arrived at 7:25 for our 7:30 reservation which had been confirmed and were not seated until 8:05. We inquired about our table after watching multiple large party tables that arrived after us be seated ahead of us. We were finally seated at a table which was located in quite possibly the worst location in the restaurant. It was practically in the kitchen and directly in the flow of servers and other staff. They only had enough room to pass behind me by raising their trays and turning sideways. Our server immediately recognized that we were not happy about our table and graciously offered to get the manager. The manager appeared a few minutes later and proceeded to explain that they were very busy and our only alternative was to wait another 30 minutes or longer for possibly a better table. After explaining we had already waited 35 minutes past our original reservation we were told it was the only solution he could offer. We decided to leave without dining and went to a different restaurant. Sadly, I don't think I will return to Nick and Sam's. While the food, waitstaff, and hostess staff are wonderful, the inability for them to keep a reservation on schedule and total apathy of the manager are deal breakers. There are too many wonderful restaurants in Dallas that are equally amazing or superior.
We came here for our first time for our wedding anniversary and the staff were so attentive and made our evening so special. Their added touches were so appreciated! The restaurant although high end, felt relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommend for any special occasion or date night.
