We like a lot eating out. Last night we went to this fine place which friends told us about. We passed a lovely evening there with exceptional dishes and a nice team and a professional chief cook. We put this venue in our list and we shall certainly visit again soon. We warmly recommend.

For my first time of visiting Nickel and Rye, I had a really good experience. I met a friend there for drinks after checking out there HH options online. happy hour, which is changing but reflects on their website, so the manager, Michael was super sweet and accommodating once we'd told him how far we can to check out the place (Red Oak and Frisco). My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the garlic smeared edamame, and the spicy crab dip. They were both delish, and the crab did had real crab meat in it. The atmosphere was quaint, fun, and light. I'll definitely come back here for a chill type vibe. Welp, was supposed to post this a while ago, but the place is closed now. RIP Nickel and Rye

Whenever I visit Dallas I always stop through Nickel and Rye. It's a cool laid back spot with good drinks and music. The food is pretty good too. The bartenders are great. You have options to chill inside or on the patio outside. There's limited parking on the back but ample street parking.

Brunch food isnt that great. The chicken and funnel cake appears to be frozen chicken strips with a thick and doughy funnel cake. The breakfast pizza has too much going on that just doesnt come together as you'd hope. Brunch beverages are a great deal: $5 for a single mimosa/sangria, $10 for carafes. Service and atmosphere are laid back.

Great selection of liquor but sadly the bar doesn't know what it wants to be. It's got big screens for games and the bad bar food to match, yet has wing back seats and great selection of scotch.

Trash. Sunday funday is a great name and the dj was fresh but there was nothing fun about it. I'm only in town for the weekend for my best friend's birthday and I was not impressed. There was only one server for the outside patio where we had a reserved (and paid for) table. With Sunday being a popular brunch and mingle day in Dallas, one server for that volume definitely wasn't enough. However, I don't know how it was staffed- anything could have happened that caused them to only have one available server in that section. The manager (brown skin bald guy) started by telling us he didn't have any menus but proceeded to seat two ladies after us and then walked past us again to give them menus. When the server finally came, he took orders, brought waters and asked what kind of juice we wanted with our mimosas. About 15 minutes later, the champagne arrived but no juice. There were three of us seated and two orders came out but a third order didnt come out for another 15 minutes and still no juice for the mimosas. Server stated "Sorry, we are really slow today." And manager did finally bring the other order and juices. Food was decent, wasn't terrible and I ate my grilled chicken sandwich without issues. Fast forward to the bill. An additional 18% gratuity was added to my bill but that policy was not posted anywhere online, on the menu or at the establishment at all. So they have fraud going on here with that although it is clearly stated on the ticket that your credit/debit card would be authorized for 15% over your bill to ensure funds are available- but NOT with the gratuity. After discussing with the server he said he understood and would speak to a manager but the manager wouldn't even come to the table to talk with me. All he told the server first was "We have to enforce it now" and then "Tell her there's nothing we can do about it" and never came to the table. He's (the manager) very popular with locals and was a pretty good dancer. But can you imagine how much money they've probably taken from people who add an additional tip on that merchant copy or better yet just sign it without paying attention after 2 bottles of mimosas? Whew! Well, I've reached out to the company, if and/or when I get a response, I will update the review accordingly.

Enjoyed my visit. My lemon drop martinis were great. I had the lemon pepper wings which were delicious. The hummus plate is huge and shareable. Took advantage of the ladies' night special, so I didn't break the bank. Parked behind the restaurant which was nice! I would definitely come back again.
Customer Service was horrible, we had reservations for today and showed up to an overcrowded place due to the game which we had no ideal. No one greeted us, we had to go and find someone to figure out where to sit. The guy then pointed for us to sit at this booth, as we're walking toward the both another party rushed and sat there who was sitting at another table. Then we were told that he can't make them move and that they don't take reservation on a day when there's a game. Well then, you shouldn't accept reservations- how is one suppose to know. Needless to say manger was no help and communication goes a long way.

I love this place....The Manager DeWayne is amazing .....and Julian is a Dream!!!! Will definitely be back for Sunday Brunch !!!!

Solid choice for game day, and they had half gallons of mimosas! Was a little upset that they were priced wrong on the menu and it wasn't honored. But I mean, I'm going to pay the extra 6$ for a half gallon of mimos! Breakfast was delicious! The friend egg club was great! So happy to have found this place.

Horrible service. It's was Sunday funday and wasn't anything fun about this visit! Service was horrible and food was not great and took forever to get our food. Appeared to be a meet and greet bar. Maybe it was just that day?
