For literally no reason, they wouldn't let us have a booth seat. We were there for three hours, spent hundreds, and there were 5+ booths open the entire time. No clue why they decided to wake up and choose to be bad at providing food service at their restaurant. The staff was comically awkward as well. Seemed nice, though. Good cocktails.

Food used to be so good. It was just okay, which made the prices stand out as not commensurate. Wouldn't go back or recommend. Also they called and texted and confirmed and reminded. Annoying. I made the reservation, I'm coming. Then the restaurant was much less than half full. Why all the pressure?

Hard to go wrong here. We always enjoy a nice evening out at places in the neighborhood but this time returned for Sunday brunch. My Benedict was great, husbands over easy eggs were over cooked. He didn't complain but server happened to notice and offered to get new ones which I thought was both attentive and appropriate.

Rapscallion has been on my list for quite some time and I finally made it! We had the deviled eggs as an app, very tasty! I had the spicy fried chicken and greens with a side of mac and cheese for my meal. The food was good. The chicken wasn't quite what I expected, it kind of had a smokey flavor? Still good though! Just the right amount of spice. I enjoyed the mac and cheese, though it wasn't particularly creamy, it was very cheese. So, still a win in my book! I had two drinks, the Bees Knees and the Moon Dance. Both gin drinks. I loved them both. The Moon Dance is a frozen drink (the larger drink pictured). Absolutely love the vibe of the restaurant. Chill hip hop/R&B Jazz type beats playing. Super cute and cozy inside. Moderate price point overall, but there are a few exceptions. I will definitely be returning!

This is one of my favorite places in Dallas. Bartenders and staff are always very attentive and welcoming! They used to have 1/2 off priced select cuts on steaks including Wagyu beef every Wednesday; unfortunately, they adjusted it to 1/3rd off for now, but hopefully they'll bring the 1/2 off Wednesdays back! It's a BEAUTIFUL space on the Lower Greenville strip with plenty of bar, indoor, and outdoor seating and incredible service. You won't be disappointed in any way. Great wine, beer, and liquor choices. Hope to see you there.

Very protein-centric menu with moderate flair. My main course (pork shank) was served with a pea puree that left meal lacking both any starch and any texture contrasts. The preparation on the pork was good, but there was nothing on the plate to cut through the rich fattiness of the meat. Overall, it felt less like a 'new southern cuisine' than old southern cuisine. If you go, don't miss the biscuits. They are incredible.

If you are going to serve oysters on the half shell make sure the person knows how to shuck an oyster . For almost $50 dozen the oyster shouldn't looked like cut up muck in a shell. As well as the fish of the day , whole Branzino was full of bones . Each bite you had to pull bones out of your mouth . Only half of a half was eaten . Burger was okay , fries were good. Overall close to $200 and not worth it

Group of four of us stopped in for dinner and each of us was more than happy with our food and the service. I would recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is fairly small and fills up quickly. For dinner we ordered the pork chop, duck risotto, chicken and dumplings, and the 3 piece chicken. My co worker stated the pork chop was cooked to a perfect medium while the duck risotto had a nice flavor with a tender bite to it. The chicken and dumplings was good but my co worker said that she felt it was missing a spice to accent the taste better. I had the 3 piece chicken cooked Nashville style. The chicken wasn't overly spicy as you find in some restaurants, but the meat itself was cooked a little too dry. Don't get me wrong, the flavor was good, but I would have expected to get a little juice from at least one of the 3 pieces. Not sure I would order it again. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

I've been here probably 10 times in the last 5 years. The latest chef is doing an absolutely wonderful job. The food is fresh and exciting, with thoughtful pairings. The salmon with polenta was one of the best salmon dishes I've had. The long walk to Nashville chicken has been on the menu all along, and is better now that it's ever been. The service was top notch. Do yourself a favor and come check this place out again. You will not be disappointed.

Favorite restaurant in Dallas. Our waiter Steven (younger guy) made our experience great. Would go back every day if I could. Drove ten hours from Alabama and this was our first stop.

We cannot stop raving about our dining experience at Rapscallion from last night. The food, the ambiance and the service were all on point. We came on a cold rainy night, so the interior get warm and inviting with exposed brick and a well stocked bar. For food we had Brussels, the pork chop, salmon and chicken and dumplings—all perfectly cooked. No bite left behind! What really made the whole experience was THE SERVICE!! Our waiter was friendly and approachable. When on the fence on a glass of wine, he suggested one that he thought was a better glass and $2 cheaper than the one I asked about. He chatted with us about other spots to hit while we were in Dallas. Then to top it off, he gave us a complimentary dessert for being from out of town! Will be back on future trips to Dallas.

Excellent dining experience. This was our third or fourth visit in four years and rapscallion is consistently a great meal and culinary experience. I had the risotto and he had the pork shank, both very good.
