Those sushi’s are getting more and more small , seriously I’m really not happy paying 40$ for 18 micro sushis.

Stellar. I had the Texas Roll and the Soft Shell Crab Roll. The Texas Roll was bar none the best sub $10 roll I've ever had. The Soft Shell crab roll was dynamic--a wide breadth of flavor and a delightful crunch. The service was top notch; the vibe authentic, yet quant. I went with a group of eight, but I imagine this is a great date spot as well. Looking forward to coming back.

This is one of my favorite spots for a weekday sushi lunch. The classic Japanese approach to sushi and sashimi is no fuss, but of excellent quality. The bento box and sushi combos at lunch are of exceptional value. Service is unintrusive and attentive. The atmosphere is the only real let down here, with the shopping center location’s simplistic design starting to feel a little long in the tooth.

Overpriced imho: I'm a big fan of sushi and rolls, but wouldn't come back here, as portions are really small, with very little amount of fish, not worth the price. The fish was fresh. Unexpectedly, loved one of their Japanese beers - was $8 for bottle, but really soft and light.

Super good food but the staff are all wearing masks still.☹️! Cra, why?! Made things a little awkward. And not just normal “I want to be safe mask”, but the serious high tech, major surgical medical masks. It was a little much, but otherwise, food was great.

My wife and I went for our anniversary. This is our second time here, and it was even better than the first time around! Phenomenal service, amazing sushi. The brussel sprout salad was hearty and delicious. Wish we lived closer! Can't wait to go again.

I had my doubts about attempting sushi in Dallas - but we went on recommendation from Thomas at YO steakhouse downtown Dallas. And what a place! People waiting for a table at 8:30 pm (our wait was not too long) and each sashimi or sushi presentation was a work of art. The chef food prep area has more real estate than the dinning area - a gamble that pays off! The toro and scallops were sublime. We ordered a shrimp shumai appetizer - a frozen 'throwaway' at most sushi restaurants, but those dumplings were fresh. We can't wait to go back.

Severely underrated. Why did nobody ever tell me we had a great quality sushi restaurant in the edge of Uptown? This location is tiny, but it boasts a friendly staff with excellent options - Chef Yutaka don't play!Came in on a Wednesday and was surprised to see that we were the only visitors at the restaurant. The place quickly filled up a few minutes into our meal, and there were soon no seats left and a wait by the entrance. Highly rec - aim for the daily specials first with a nice glass of sake. My boyfriend and I had a great time trying out a mix of hot and cold dishes on the menu. Our favorites being the toro sashimi (lets admit this quality pushes otoro) and the Ishiyaki Washu Kobe Beef. Going to be bold - Yutaka is probably the best place to get fresh sashimi in uptown Dallas without it costing an arm and a leg. I knowww there are several other great restaurants in the area with a similar menu, but this one will give you the best bang for your buck in terms of raw fish.

Came here on a whim on a Saturday night because we couldn't find parking in our usual spot and had a friend recommend this place. First, there was lot in the front so this was a win. The price point was steep - but the quality was there. Definitely a spot to return to for special occasions. Between the 3 of us, the total came out to $170 + tip without any drinks. This included 6 (small) rolls, 6 pieces of nigiri (all delish) (again small), and 2 apps. We all left hungry still.. Definitely the best sushi spot in uptown in terms of quality and likely frequent if I lived in the area. Luckily, there are more affordable, still high quality options near me.

Portions very small and expensive for a restaurant in a strip mall in between a mattress store and a UPS. The sushi is fresh and I’d give it 3 stars for taste if the service was better. The staff including owner are unfriendly and almost rude. Won’t be going back.

My favorite sushi spot in Dallas. Their house made spicy Mayo and the cilantro sauce are two of my personal faves. I’ve never had a miss on their menu and the staff is so friendly and welcoming.

Yutaka Sushi Bistro is a Dallas staple. Their sushi, sake, and other food is very high quality. It may seem pricey to some, but it is definitely worth it. Space is limited, so if you want to come during peak hours, I would recommend a reservation.

My partner and I came here after a recommendation. We ordered nigiri and rolls. The tuna toro ($25) had grey in the fish, and all of the rolls we ordered were messy and haphazardly made. The king crab roll ($28) had shell in the rolls and the waitress said that they needed “proof” to take it back, so we ended up digging through the roll to find the proof. There was a piece without crab in it.The salmon nigiri was good and the other nigiri were fine — none were fishy.

Definitely one of the top sushi places in Dallas. Sushi is always well made, rolls are good and service is great. Very chill and laid back.
