I find the menu confusing for a sushi restaurant. The sushi quality at the University Dr. Krogers is consistently better for a fraction of the cost. Perhaps if he focused on only the fish it would be better.

This restaurant might appeal to locals in Denton, but it falls short for the broader DFW audience. The sushi quality is disappointingly low, especially when opting for Omakase. There's a lack of special sushi or rolls, offering typical sushi restaurant fare. The Omakase experience was further marred by the inclusion of Italian food. We paid around $450 for three people, but considering the subpar experience, one could find a better dinner elsewhere. here around DFW area.

We waited a while to get reservation here and were so excited. There were 7 of us. I felt like the chef was phoning it in, he didn't seem interested in engaging with us despite the fact that we were in very close quarters, I rarely understood what we were eating. It was all good but nothing notably mind-blowing. I think all 7 of us left feeling like we had overpaid for something that was overhyped.

It's a little hole in the wall. You have to have a reservation and you better prep yourself. Cozy sushi bar area seating around 10. They have a small table in a separate room and a small bartop. The food is prepared by the owner in front of you if you choose sushi. He apparently trained under an Italian for a while and the tiramasu is to die for ( both the normal and the green tea). We chose to have the chefs choice for our meal and it was chosen well!!! The food is priced a little high but you get what you pay for. If you leave there unsatisfied, I would say you intended to. 5 out of 5. I just wish I could find another reservation this year!

We were so excited to finally eat here. After trying to get in for two years we were thrilled to finally get a reservation. Food was incredibly high quality and excellently prepared. Highly the beef and jalapeño cream cheese rolls and the Kinoko pasta. We also loved the other fish that we ate. Can’t wait to come back!

We waited months for our RSVP. Well worth the wait!! There wasn’t one dish we tried that fell short. Every dish was memorable. The service was great. My wife loved the Tasman Sea Trout. The Squid with Hawaiian red salt and lime and the Spicy Tuna Tar Tar were ??. Don’t leave without having the Green Tea tiramisu. We look forward to our next RSVP!!

greatest sushi in all of Denton county if not all of DFW. this is not just some small hole in the wall sushi place, this is an elegant Couture restaurant. be sure to make reservations because again, this is not just some hole in the wall place. the chef is a genius who really is someone you can tell respects the culinary experience and treats each ingredient as if it was the star of the dish.

Keiichi is the gem of tiny restaurants. Have a difficult time elaborating on how wonderful the experience and food is because I already had to make reservations a month in advance for a party of 2 on a Thursday night!

Food and drinks were delicious. Unique menu paired with classics. Laid back yet funky atmosphere.

Nothing I could really add to the other reviews I feel but this place is absolutely scrumptious. The food craft is incredible. It's some thing you want to eat very slowly and enjoy every bite with somebody very special. Not a place in my opinion to come to socialize. Do you want to come here to enjoy the art of the food. Everything we got was absolutely delightful.

The best of the best. Not in Denton- anywhere. All time great. You’ll regret missing it. And such a true artist and real gentleman. Act like you’re in his house-you are.NOwhere in Dallas compares. NOwhere in Vegas, San Fran, New York, LA, none of it- remotely mirrors the talent and precision.I’m telling ya- Get a seat while you can! You won’t be sorry. Absolutely lovely, just ask.

Reservations only! And sometimes he's booked up six months in advance. Well worth the wait, one of the only places in DFW that serves fresh, never been frozen seafood. His award winning Italian dishes are also not to be missed. If you want THE experience, order Omakase and he will make you plate after plate of delicious food until you say stop!

This is just complete flavor with every bite. It's Japanese with some Italian influences ( risotto). The steak with avocado was delicious. Actually every dish I had was just perfect. There is a one year waitlist to get in as it is a very small restaurant with Chief cooking everything to order- so it's more than dinner- it's an experience! They are only open 3 days a week- from 530-930. Totally worth the wait!
