What a pleasant surprise!
We really did enjoy our visit. We just commented how we are so tired of loud, busy , noisy restaurants and wished for a classic restaurant and we came upon Creek Road Cafe.
Husband and I went for our anniversary dinner last night while in Dripping Springs for a mini getaway. Food was delicious, we had the stuffed mushrooms and the daily soup which was a clam chowder which was different but so good. I had the flounder Picata which was excellent. Husband had the pork belly which Koop was very good as well, his came with grilled shrimp which was the best I've tasted. Definitely a little pricy but was well worth it, service was excellent. Wait staff never let our glasses be empty and made sure we didn't need anything often. Only negative, and it's not on the restaurant, but we sat next to a very loud large party which took away from the evening.
I stopped here with my wife and a dear friend of ours the day after Christmas. The service was outstanding, the stuffed shrimp was off the charts delicious. We had an incredible dining experience.
Very well prepared dinners, if a little rich, with fresh ingredients and surprising specials and soups. Well worth a visit.
It was okay. Food was tasty, but not spectacular. Service was great. Very attentive wait staff. Not worth $100 for 2 (no alcohol) in my opinion
We just had our first meal at Creek Road but it definitely won?t be our last. I had the Korean Spicy Shrimp and my husband had the Lemon Picatta Fish. Both were delicious! Outstanding service from our waiter Grayson. We will definitely be back!
Excellent service, the biggest most delicious pork chops I've ever had!
can't tell from the outside what's going on inside, but you should find out. charming local dining with good food, nice staff and reasonable prices. took too long to discover, annual songwriters festival bought us back to dripping springs.
Absolutely loved how the kids were able to play outside while waiting on food. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, and there chicken taco salad was the best!
Don't let the run down exterior fool you, the interior is quite nice and service was top notch. Interesting menu for lunch, sandwiches and burgers for us, but they were very well done. For lunch, highly recommend.
Great restaurant, highly recommend it. Food and service were both terrific. We brought a group of 28 in, they reserved one of their three dining rooms for us and we were able to order off the menu. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent in spite of the large size of our group.
Quaint and quiet lunch spot. The soup was terrific and service was great as well. We ordered sandwiches and they were a bit of a letdown after the soup. Next time we visit we will try a burger instead and see if they're a better choice.
As a diabetic, I really enjoyed the healthy options and alternatives. Really good food as well!
The food was great, so was the service.
Good waitstaff, upscale atmosphere, and ok for lunch. My hubby & I were in town and stopped for a late lunch. Soup of the day was delicious. Hubs' reuben was fantastic. My beef dip, not so much. Make your mushrooms in-house! do not get them from a jar/can. So disappointing.
Had a great lunch this summer. Good place. Solid food. Nice people as well. A great spot in Drip! Check it out.
Best pork chop I ever had. Everything was great!
We were surprised by the atmosphere as we walked into Creek Road. It was very welcoming and comfortable. Our waiter was very courteous and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Out orders were served in a very timely manner and looked tasty. For the most part we were not as impressed with the food as we had been with everything else. My pan seared fish filet had an almost burnt taste. Like it had been cooked in bad oil or been left just a little to long in the pan. My wife's meal had three items and each e had a different sauce - can you imagine a swimming pool. Everything ran together. All I say is better luck next time Chef.
Felt very fancy inside vs. the look on the outside. Very chilly and very nice wait staff. Very affordable sandwiches, soups and wraps. Get the potato soup and SXSW sandwich was tasty.
Watermelon salad with homemade dressing and feta cheese was fantastic. Had the filet Oscar style, amazing!! They took care of my garlic allergy with no issues. Love this place.
Good food! Excellent service!
I love coming here for special occasions. Fresh and delicious food every time.
Majority of the food was just ok. The only thing that was really good was the chalk mountain ravioli appetizer. Even the dessert was mediocre. I was disappointed because it was the highest rated TripAdvisor restaurant in Dripping Springs.
Well, honestly, I would never have heard of this place if a gift-card weren't involved. But I had one and decided to go on an early Sunday. The waiter was on us pretty quickly, naming off the specials and whatnot. He came off very eager, but he was very nice. The seafood salad was great and the mimosas weren't strong enough, but all-in-all, CRC was great. I wholly recommend it to anyone looking for good service and quality food.
Good place, more upscale than we expected but very nice. Lunch menu is a good value with burgers, salads and sandwiches. The Texas Reuben is great, and the Cole slaw is a winner. Service was warm and attentive even as the place got fairly busy.
Exceptional service with friendly and efficient waiters! Great food and presentation.
It was fine, but not super impressive. The prices werenâ??t nearly as high as some folks had told me. I just think trying to do fine dining in that space is an awkward mix. I would have liked it to be more authentic and friendly rather than an attempt at stuffy and hyper-proper.
Me and my wife stopped in on a whim, so she called it, little did I realize she set me up for an early father's day dinner, Saturday evening. I was si impressed by the comfortable atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff, very cozy, not overly extravagant, meals were very well proportioned, perfect amount of food, not overly priced for a good 4 star meal. Very well done. My hats off to this place for putting another great restaurant on the Dripping Springs map of great places to eat.
My wife and I dropped in here for lunch on a whim. We split a Texas Reuben that was so good we brought my mother and brother here for dinner the next night. We were not disappointed! The CRC Fried Oysters appetizer was done just right with great seasoning and oysters that were very juicy. The Ranch Road Filet was cooked very well and seasoned perfectly. The Fish Special of the night had a sauce that complimented the fish perfectly. The Pedernales Pork Chop was a two-finger chop that was cooked to order and also seasoned well. Our server, Jordan, was very attentive to us and did a great job, as did everyone else. It may not look like much from the outside and the décor inside might be a bit dated, but the food and service more than make up for it.
Really nice place! Waitstaff is excellent. I had the tuna salad with iceberg wedge. All delicious!!
We decided to get outside of Austin for a nice dinner. We were so pleased with the food, the service, and the ambience of the restaurant. There were people in the restaurant be we could actually hear ourselves talk unlike some places we have been to recently. We will definitely visit again!
Amazing beef dip! Great crew, Chad is awesome.
Very good at their "casual fine dining" schtick!
Local place with great attention to detail. THe food was well prepared and paird with a good variety of drink. Highly likely to suggest to friends and family alike.
It was very nice. They actually have gluten free great food.
Our favorite restaurant in DS. We felt at home the first time we went. Love the staff Chad, Grayson, Richard, etc. love the white tablecloths & candlelight & enjoy the menu variety. Especially enjoy the explosion of flavors in the unique sauces. I reviewed restaurants in the DC area . if I were reviewing this restaurant , you already know I would give it five stars. Looking forwArd to next time & finally meeting the chef!
Our party of 4 tried Creek Road Cafe on a Friday evening. We made reservations, but they werenâ??t required. Some of us took advantage of the off-menu specials, and some ordered off the regular menu. No one was disappointed in their meal, and the wine list was respectably broad and good (though they could have featured more Texas wines in my opinion). What really made the meal special, though, was the nice pace (not too fast, not too slow, just Goldilocks â??just rightâ?) and the wonderfully attentive (but unobtrusive) service. (Folks seemed HAPPY to be working there and HAPPY to serve usâ??how rare & remarkable is that?!?!) This is definitely a place I would recommend and a place we would visit again.
Delicious seafood pasta lunch special! Service was excellent. I will be back.
