My sister & I were there on April 2nd for lunch, at one moment my sister had a choking episode, our server/waitress reacted immediately & also notified the manager, everyone was very helpful & attentive. After my sister was better they kept checking on us. I support long existing establishments so long that the food continues to be outstanding and the customer service stays above and beyond. That said, our service was maintained with constant attention and the food we received was delicious. I really enjoy their complimentary chips and salsa's as we wait for our food. Their ice tea was a bit pricey and could use improvement in taste but the fact that they have free refills was great and the attention to refill our glasses was met. Really look forward to coming back.

My first visit to this historical "Mexican Restaurant". What kind of mexican restaurant in El Paso does not offer menudo (or posole) ! ? Anyway, I ended up ordering steak tacos of which the meat was overcooked, and a little burnt. Coffee cups were the size of my granddaughters toy kitchen set. Beans and rice were authentic. We had 2 waitresses, which was unusual but ok. They both took care of us and both received a tip. Not really impressed with the quality of food for the inflated prices. Probably would not send anyone their way.

We came from Colorado and manage to read these great reviews. I will also add that Bruno was great! What a friendly guy and the micheladas he made were fantastic! I ate the carne asada. And my wife had the chili rellenos. We were blown away how good the food was. Bruno was just icing on the cake.

Always great service. Never had a bad time there.***Update*** March 21, 2024Service for sure has gone down hill since my first post. Almost an hour wait for food with hardly any customers today. Chicken was dry (had the machaca) didn't bother to complain. LnJs restaurant becoming better and better.

Food was great. But we got seated at a booth next to a window and the window plus blinds were dirty and dusty. U can literally see dirt on thr window trim. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned or wiped in a very long time and concerned me that dirt/dust may fall into my food.
