Best service great food my favorite place to dine and celebrate
I have to first share that I use to go to Shanghai La in Juarez with my family when I was growing up. So, the food for me is like having my Mom's home cooking. I was so happy to come back to El Paso after 23 years to find that this restaurant was here. So! The three stars is for the food. The service I've received the last time I visited in March was beyond terrible. It took over an hour to be served and our servers frustration was all over his face. I have not been back since.
This place is amazing! Great food! Great Service!
Please, for the love of God, bring back Chopsticks!!!! Everyone I know wants it back!!! PLEASEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
The food was bitter, tasted like old oil. For the price the quality is horrible do not eat here. Really big let down.
Ping pong wing Wong -that’s me speaking Chinese after eating at paco wongs
Everything taste bad or with no flavor i will never ever come back there + very expensive the food is not good
Generally good food but subpar service. My order for take out was incomplete and when I called to inform them and ask for part of the money back, they said that if I had a complaint I should drive back and talk to the owner. I was also told that I should have checked my order before I left. (I would have had to go through 3 bags of food) What a bad way to run a business. No respect of care for clients. I will NOT go back.
This restaurant is a borderland institution. I grew up going to its parent restaurant Shangri-La in Juarez, and it is great to finally have a it here in El Paso. You have to know what to order, and their signature items are my recommendation: Dan Paco's wings, and the Long Island pressed Duck with almonds, . both are best enjoyed if you order them extra crispy. Their combination fried rice is also a real treat. Schezwan beef is tender, served with lots of veggies and the sauce has a nice kick to it. The jalapeños toreados and that Chile Amor are also signature items that are a great accompaniment to the rice. The steamed fish, anyway that you get it is particularly good. The dinner combo menu is a good deal, just note that the rice you get is not as good as the combination fried rice that comes a la carte.
It’s open for curb side pick up during this time which is great! I had a meeting across the street and ordered my food to go of course. I live way on the other side of town but I hadn’t had lunch and it was almost 5 when I got home so I ate. No heating it up. No microwave just ate. And it was still so very delicious. I miss chopsticks. The egg rolls. The shrimp chow mein! It all brought back great memories of eating at chopsticks. This place is wonderful, great food, excellent service. Just too bad you’re so very far away from me.
This place is a combination of Mexican and Chinese food served with fried or steam rice! The Oriental atmosphere & linen table settings top off the delicious food brought by gracious servers!
The food was really good, with very generous portions. The servers were very attentive and helpful. There is a nice relaxing ambiance. Sometimes they have a person playing the piano.
exquisita comida y excelente atención
Not impressed with the food...dont let the decorum fool you....Panda Express tastes better...the food was underwhelming. Im sitting here waiting for them to light me up with a high price tab. Me? This food is probably worth 30.00 for 3 dishes. Im guessing ill be charged 50.00...yup! 50.00 it was...not worth it!
I'm here now. Worst service ever. Waited 20 min for waiter. Had to get my own menus. Do not come horrible service food is ok. Service is so bad 2 seconds from walking out. No one works. Lazy staff. Hire a manager
