Our first time here and we really liked it but the ramen could have used more broth. The bowl seemed to be less than half full. It was very good. My dad got the lo mein and it was also delicious. They do have the best calamari in El Paso. It was so good. The server was very nice and very attentive. We will be returning.

We were craving great Chinese food and Ramen House delivered! The food is delicious and the portions are ginormous, so bring your appetite! The service was excellent with the host serving as the waiter too.

Chef Lu always delivers when it comes to party preparations. I love to order their Lo Mein Noodles with Beef, Tofu and veggies as well as their fried rice special. Their Ramen is freshly made and to die for. Try their Tonkotsu Ramen with a delicious broth and pork. Their Mapo Tofu is also excellent. So a lot to love here!

I flew into El Paso and felt like I was getting sick and needed soup. I got a simple egg drop soup and my equally ill daughter ordered wonton soup. We didn't want anything heavy like a full order of ramen. I appreciated that they call to confirm online orders. I appreciated less that my daughter's soup had burst by the time we made it back. The small soup was put in a styrofoam coffee cup. She was nearly in tears but we fished out the wontons and poured in the egg drop soup. My frustration increased a bit more when i realized they only supplied one set of chopsticks and a fork. I had to ask the hotel concierge for spoons. But once I finally had the soup, all was forgiven. It was smooth, silky and nourishing. My daughter loved her watermelon boba too.

I Visited Umami on a Sunday afternoon. Umami is on Mesa Street in a mini-mall; they share their parking lot with other businesses, including three restaurants and an empanada place. Nevertheless, the parking lot is ample. Umami Ramen House is a casual restaurant suitable for a casual date, studying, or an informal business meeting. Umami's staff is nice, their servings are bountiful, and their food tastes homemade delicious. What is excellent about Umami is that their restaurant decor is beautiful, but you may arrive in leggings or jeans, and you will not be underdressed. They have a very chill atmosphere.

We accidentally went to the wrong ramen house but decided to stay. The staff was nice however preoccupied with their phones. The soda had a funny taste and the sweet tea wasn't Southern lol. The broth for my ramen tasted bland and the beef while tender, had a salty aftertaste. The decorations were delightful and so cute.

My order was ready as soon as I arrived which is a big plus. A little disappointed in the broth to bowl ratio. Also, the egg rolls didn't come with any sauce at all. Luckily I have soy sauce at home. Second photo is the end result when putting meat and fixings inside. It's basically half a bowl. I will end off on good note that the broth was flavorful which is wonderful. I have been to places that fill the bowl to the rim and have dozens of options to add on and the the broth was bland. So there are points for that for sure. I would go again if I wanted a light lunch and remember to ask for sauce for the egg roll.

Doesn't disappoint. The best egg drop soup I have had in town, not watery and salty. It's just right with flavor and consistency. Other dishes taste great and great service too!

Great spot with a unique taste compared to other ramen places in the El Paso area. The place has a great atmosphere and gives a very Japanese vibe.

Just drove back from the Zoo and guess what? The new Umami Ramen House on the Westside is finally open! I couldn't wait to try their food, especially since it replaced Aloha Hawaiian BBQ. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! The staff greeted me warmly, and when I asked how long they had been open, they said it was only their 3rd day. They mentioned that they were still working on stocking up all their menu items, which include delicious ramen, Japanese dishes, appetizers, and yakitori. I was pleasantly surprised to hear they'll be offering yakitori soon, but for now, I'll have to wait until next week. What sets this place apart is that all their ramen and soups are chicken-based, which is fantastic for my friends who can't eat pork. Personally, I prefer pork stock, but I gave the chicken-based ramen a try, and it was incredibly tasty. The chicken flavor was subtly sweet, and the broth was rich and flavorful. The salt ramen had a delightful combination of eggs, bamboo shoots, green onions, a sliver of fish cake, white chicken breast meat, and my favorite, fried onion strips. The noodles were soft and my kids couldn't get enough of them! I also decided to order a ramen stir fry just out of curiosity. It was basically ramen noodles stir-fried with oyster sauce, shrimp, octopus, chicken, and cabbage strips. The portion was generous, perfect for a hungry family. Think of it as a more sophisticated version of Panda Express chow mein. Personally, I would have liked the noodles to be firmer and crispier, but my husband enjoyed them when I brought it home. Now, let me talk about the highlight of my visit--the takoyaki. They were freshly fried and filled with delicious chunks of octopus and green onions. The contrast between the moist and warm interior and the crispy exterior was amazing. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this appetizer. I can't wait to go back. They even close late at night, at 10:00 pm, so it's perfect for a late-night ramen craving. Make sure to check them out!

The food tasted bland and the service was bad. We waited over an hour to get served meanwhile 2 other tables that arrived after us got served before us and they got similar things to us.

Overall it was nice in the restaurant, though I would think the atmosphere would be better if it had music that fit the setting more. Not a big negative of course but a lot of restaurants that are centered around a certain type tend to have music aligning with the food, customs, and culture. Again it's not horrible it was fine. I really enjoyed the decorations the most in the restaurant. The food was really good the only reason I didn't select 5 stars is that the chicken in my food had a bunch of hard pieces so for example every 2-3 pieces out of 5 we're too hard to chew and or it may have been bone. Again the flavor was amazing in the broth, orange sauce and the drinks. The rice was without flavor which is natural but I would have liked if the servers offered maybe a sauce or side to pair with rice.

The food was pretty average. The chicken curry was more green pepper than anything. It was decent curry for El Paso. Hubby got the hot pork Pho. It was more fat than pork. It's very pretty inside. All the tables are 4 person tables. There are better Pho places in El Paso.

Had an unpleasant first and last time at Umami, the menu is deceiving, ordered the curry chicken and it came with a bunch of green peppers and other vegetables ( not listed on the menu ). The chicken was cold and the taste was terrible. I asked the server if she could remove it since the description was incorrect and we literally didn't even touch the plate. She refused and it was an uncomfortable experience. It's terrible that they would rather lose customers than deliver good customer service.

This spot is the best for Ramen. My partner and I stop in almost once a week. The Spicy Miso Ramen is my favorite. It is full of flavor. Sometimes the service can be slow. There's typically only one or two servers handling the floor and to-go orders. I love the faux cherry blossom tree in the restaurant it really adds to the ambiance.
