First time visiting last night and was blown away! The appetizers were phenomenal, cocktails were smaller but packed a punch! Then the main dishes were the star of the show. I went with 3 others and got to try all of their dishes and everything was so flavorful and thoughtfully made. Please do not pass on dessert! The tiramisu was some of the best I’ve had. Beautiful night time ambiance and 5 star service from our waitress. We will be coming back!
The lovely wife and I went for date night because we were craving Italian. Definitely try to make reservations. We got lucky and the amazing hostess was able to get us in within an hour. From there we were seated at a fantastic table which was there almost floor to ceiling windows the ambience of the restaurant is very cozy. Even a great place to bring kids with the outdoor patio. The service was phenomenal and their happy hour prices are a steel.Highly recommend the bread and cheese. That was the best thing on the menu. All the other Italian food was pretty good. In the pictures my wife had the Bolognese and I have the eggplant Parmesan. It was pretty expensive for the quality. Which is the only reason fir four stars instead of five. Everything else was perfect.
Do not expect Olive Garden or your checked tablecloth italian joint that serves big-ass lasagnas and a pound of pasta swimming in vodka sauce. It's not that type of Italian place. This isn't fettucine alfredo smothered in sauce with all you can eat salads and breadsticks. This is fresh, from scratch, great food based on classic (mostly northern) Italian recipes, rotating with what's in season. You'll pay for it too. It's fine dining. You'll pay a little more for high quality, fresh ingredients, cleanly and expertly prepared. If that's not what you get, they have had a very unusual screw up. We go often with big groups, two couples and also to sit at the bar and watch football on Saturday nights. We have been a couple dozen times and have never had a bad meal. The cacio e pepe; spaghetti marinara; tagliatelle; pizzas and all the salads are our mainstays but I may have had almost everything they have ever had on the menu. Piatello serves undoubtedly great food. But, I'll say it again - do not expect giant portions of cheap food. If you want giant portions of cheap food, do not go here. You will be disappointed. Those restaurants buy food by the container truck and sell it to folks who would not really appreciate Piatello. Also, there is ALWAYS a wait, so I have a personal interest in getting some of you out of there.
Great food and atmosphere. Caitlin was wonderful-
This is our favorite Italian restaurant in town: fresh ingredients, al dente pasta, delicious pizza, nice patio, and friendly staff. What more could you want?
Delicious and friendly! A favorite!
The food is delicious, the service is great, and the Tiramisu is so do so scrumptious! It is pricey, but worth it. ❤️ We’ll be back!
This has been our favorite restaurant for a few years. It was suggested by a friend and it has not disappointed. The ricotta and sourdough starter is our favorite.Tonights service was more than outstanding. Sarah was very attentive but not annoying. Here attention to our needs surpassed our expectations. The meals... Roasted Chicken for me and Daily Fish (Halibut) for my wife. Both were superb. The chicken is brined, then de-boned, rolled, sous vide, then roasted. Served over roasted carrots, potatoes and shishitos. Drizzled with olive oil and it is just plain delicious! The Daily Fish comes in a bowl with roasted tomato, shishitos, leeks, olives capers and acquapazza.Only thing I got a photo of was the appetizer. Will update when we return again. Mmm. It was good!
Obsessed and cannot stop coming back. This review is long overdue so I can't even remember all the things I've tried here but I'll go through the most unforgettable dishes. 1. Ricotta and sourdough. This is a must. If you don't have room for anything else, order it anyway. It's just as good as a leftover. Their ricotta is just immaculate. You can even get it reinvented in their cannoli which comes with chocolate ganache and orange marmalade. 2. Cacio e Pepe. The pasta here is always peeeerrrrfectly al dente and the combinations they come up with are insane but even the simple options are great. Once I had some braised lamb with yogurt sauce, amazing. 3. My favorite salad is this crunchy autumnal number I am looking forward to revisiting come fall. Otherwise, the chopped salad and Caesar are some delicious classics. 4. The pizzas are so dang good. Some are spicy, some are sweet and they are all so decadently layered with a multitude of flavors. Don't know that I have a fave here. Service is always wonderful and prompt. Ambiance is lovely. My favorite seat is on the cushioned benches inside during the summer and on their patio next to a heater in the winter. Drinks and desserts are to die for. This place is just *chefs kiss*
Great place for a date. Food is top notch and the service is also top notch!!! Our waiter was very polite and attentive to detail.
We ordered our meal to go and we were greatly appreciated the fact that the food was hot even after we drove home and it was fresh and very tasty. My wife ordered the “rigatoni amatriciana” and I ordered the “oso bucco.” Both orders were very large, in fact we could only eat half the serving of each and saved the rest for another meal.We had the fried zucchini blossoms as an appetizer. My wife was very complimentary of her dish (I didn’t try hers). The zucchini flowers had an excellent taste, we didn’t even get to try the sauce that accompanied them because we enjoyed the flavor with nothing on them.My oso bucco was excellent. The meat was tender and very flavorful. The polenta and the mushroom sauce that was served with the meat was excellent. We will return and order both dishes again but first we’ll try something else on the menu.
My wife and I recently moved into the area and wanted to find some good authentic Italian food. Since we live in Burleson...we had a hard time reading the reviews from several locations throughout the Fort Worth area because wanted some GOOD pasta. Like...freshly made pasta and had a hard time deciphering the various reviews for various Italian restaurants. I am so glad we decided on this place because it was everything we wanted. We tried the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe (butter based cream) which was...how you say magnifique! *chefs kiss* very approachable and wasn't super creamy or saucy. We also tried the Tagliatelle Bolognese which was very flavorful and super meaty. Def recommend sharing this plate unless you're very hungry. They had two options, French bread for $2 or $4 for rye I believe, so we went with French bread. We sat near the bar so the bartender was our waiter and he was great! Made my wife a custom drink based on her preferences and recommended a good wine for our meal. 10/10 would recommend
This is my new favorite places for Italian!! Everything we tried was amazing. We started with the fried Squash blossoms, they have the house made ricotta cheese in them. Then we had the little gem salad, very fresh and light. Finishing with the linguini scampi which was delicious. This place is now on our list of must haves. We're going to try something different until we have tried the entire menu.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here recently and I cannot speak highly enough about the service and the food. If you go, you have to get the sourdough and ricotta. I'll be dreaming about that until we go again! Both of our meals were delicious and rich. The staff was friendly and prompt. Overall, a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go again.
Stopped by for happy hour and had a great time! Both the drinks I had were delicious and the restaurant had a fun relaxing vibe. I got the sourdough and ricotta. Simple and perfect for snacking. The bartender was kind and accommodating. ?
