The food and drinks (especially happy hour) are wonderful but the service truly makes this place stand out. In particular our server Krystal was so wonderful, friendly and a breath of fresh air. Would absolutely recommend coming here and one of my favorite Fort Worth happy hours!

Birthday dinner with a friend at Tricky Fish. I'm not a fan of seafood, so I was a bit skeptical.Grilled chicken with the BEST mashed potatoes and grilled veggies ever! I'll definitely be back!

We visited here for the first time on Saturday 2/17/24. Here is what we had along with a 1-10 rating.-blue cheese chips- 9-smoked old fashioned- 10-raspberry smash-8-catfish platter-6-shrimp and grits-9First, as we entered the restaurant, we had no idea if we were supposed to seat ourselves (?)- turns out- no.. someone eventually showed up to seat us but it was kinda awkward.There is an open kitchen, with tablets- (for the servers) but it creates a more casual look than they should be going for. It looks like a chipotle back there..the menu is good- several choices- no complaints.. they just seem to have an identity crisis- several chef-y items in food and drink, they need to have a host stand with a warm greeting- do something w/ kitchen area so people don’t feel like they’re supposed to line up back there to place an order and remove the soda fountain area- if you have waiters, why do you have this??They offer “fried okra” but please be aware it’s unlike any you’ve had- not breaded and whole. Did not particularly care for that, a menu note would have been helpful.-catfish was good.. giant portion, I prefer it crispier but it was fine-my husband loved his shrimp and grits.We will return and order fish tacos.

The food was great!! I had the jumbo shrimp with the tricky fish and Cole slaw. My husband had the red fish with the tricky fish and Cole slaw. Our waitress Leanne was great. Will definitely go back!!

The bacon wrapped maple shrimp was delicious. The fried shrimp has more of a cornmeal type crust which is not my favorite but the jumbo shrimp portion was perfect.
