A wonderful change from the blandness of a chain motel. Whether or not you are an airplane fan it was a lot of fun to watch the activities of the airport. Conveniently located it made for a great base for exploring the Fredericksburg area.

This was our second stay here, the front desk staff were super friendly and the check in process was very quick. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and has a fun but classy theme, our room was very clean and comfortable, the hotel is just a short drive from downtown. There's is a diner right next door. The officers lounge was fun and had live music while we were there. I also liked that this is an adult only hotel.

Right on the airfield. Walking in is like stepping into the 1940s. If you like history, I would highly recommend staying here!

Hangar Hotel is great! I love the retro 40s feel, while still having super comfortable beds. It’s fun to go to the diner and watch the private planes in the morning. The hotel also has a great throwback bar for the evening!Nearby activities: Very easy to Uber/Lyft to Downtown Fredericksburg and close to wineries.Food & drinks: Excellent bar with retro style 40s atmosphere.

Such a unique, and fantastic way to stay! We enjoy flying in and having nearby accommodations and dining, with the huge bonus of getting to watch other planes. Very active airport with several neat planes coming in and
We have had a fun overnight trip. If you want to have fun and stay in a little back in time and be nostalgia this is the place. They do have a flat screen tv but don’t expect a refrigerator or a kitchenette. The bathrooms are nice but don’t expect fancy. Don’t expect all the modern amenities like a pool, workout room or business center. If you want to make phone call on an old time phone this is the place for you. You can watch the planes coming and going in the airport diner. Eat a good homestyle meal in the diner. On the weekend you may want to relax and have a drink in the officer club and if you are lucky you may have some fun live music. While you are in the officers club you may want to play a game of pool or have a friendly competition of chess. This is a great place to leave the electronics at home and go back to the days when people actually talk to each other. We had a fabulous trip and will be back.Rooms: Clean, cute and nostalgic.Safety: Totally safe placeFood & drinks: Diner is only open till 2. Officer club is only open on the weekend

Ok - this hotel could be great, but isn’t. No food, no bar, no amenities. Absolutely great concept that falls flat. Rooms are fine but the smallest tv I’ve ever seen in hotel, mattress definitely needs to be replaced. Not sure how this place is still in business.Invest some cash, run shuttle to downtown, advertise and up the game! Could be great!

Quite the novelty for an airport theme hotel, nestled in Fredericksburg, TX. What a treat it was to stay there. Our breakfast view was the landing strip, watching planes land and take off. Recommend it ?

So fabulously 40's throughout and right next to the airport tarmac for additional aviation interests. The cafe there is absolutely fab.
